because of the size of the window hanger, the
invisible baste needs to be done
standing. i move back and forth, side to
side of the ironing board. it's night
and the kitchen light and sewing light are
the only lights inside and outside for some
distance. as i stitch, i
feel
an awareness of this….me, in this place,
moving back and forth
how each piece of the woven cloth is being
connected

reading all the comments makes it so real that the cloth takes the stories insideif you look later at it as a hanging, you will memorise all what is said about it.Grace…I always give my posts a english and a dutch translation or wasnt it what you ment?its indeed the face of a lover that has the most secrets cause you lay your unsolved problems uppn them..kind of projectionbut I agree there neednt be secrets.

Hey Grace – the curtain looks wonderful. You have done a fine job there – looks very cohesive in a technical sense; and very, very interesting in an interest sense. Gilly

Grace…this is about your question regarding Chico, California. Yes, we live about 80 miles from there. In fact, we lived there quite a few years ago while my husband attended Chico State Univ. when our children were young. Its a lovely town with beautiful countryside, Chico State, various farmers markets, etc. Its lively and full of interesting people…a good place to live and learn. Jackie Wight
