Care Full y  lifted this fragmented being off the ground cloth and It rests in the basket for now

THE BASKET…the very Wonder Full work of Patricia Spangler of  followingthread.wordpress.com  Her last post shows us Many and also two Cloths in process.  ALL so Fine.

added the middle layer of harem cloth and invisible basted to the back of muslin that is stabilized  on the hoop,  leaving all the Movement of the top Ground.  (Deb Lacativa)

IMG_2442

began by split backstitch,  Jude Hill,  up the first shadowed uhhhh, depression.  Just began…to see how it felt.  But then….

IMG_2443f

but then, suddenly,  the thought to just very densely invisible baste the adjoining shadow area.  For any hope at all of seeing it,  double click.   This is with thread that closely matches the ground.

and then, just to the left,  a small area with a Very Pale GreyBlue.  Here i got Daring.  many invisible stitches, but also some that are just barely visible….   Again,  double click.     I LOVE THIS!!!!!!  and it Might work…many many many more stitches are needed to really be able to see if they can create what i see in my Mind.    And IF i do decide it works,  it will take close to Forever to accomplish, but still….i really want to do this.  The "singleness"  of each oh so tiny stitch,  up/through,   down/through is telling me something about the Story here.  Moments of a LifeTime.  Tiny.  Barely discernable,  yet shaping the Whole.

Paneer.   The consistency is not quite right,  i added a little too much lemon juice,  but taste is Excellent.  This from a gallon of goat milk from Dog Trainer Jan .  For anyone who has tried Goat Milk from the store,  PLEASE,  if you ever have an opportunity to get fresh raw  milk  locally,  Please try it.  It is the sweetest of the sweet pureness and joy.  It is JoyMilk.

The grey-blue stitching is just gorgeous with this cloth…it hints at underlying water and brings out the bits of dyed blue already there. Stitching in the depressions of the folds will be awesome. This is so wonderful to watch.

I like little needles too. When I embroider with perle cotton it always aggravates me that I must use a bigger needle. Its like trying to hold a log until I get used to it. I love your details.

The terrain of a life: nothing easy, nothing smooth because it is in the folds, dips and creases that we face our truest selves…when the layered pieces are added, a fully dimensional life story will be presented and it is no coincidence that you are working on this cloth at this time.

    Nice thought process here Grace.
Also paneer is the word for a Turkish cheese, although spelled differently, peynir, quite similar. I make it salt free.

Kosher?!? Your tiny stitches work. They keep your hills and valleys in place and look just right. It’s exciting.
Those are beautiful baskets and beautiful paneer too. Thanks for the photos of budding plants. It means things are going the way they should.

I had a sense this morning about how the HOT summer can be….
and maybe that will be our Winter here. Not all that Winter,
but rather a Summer to remember

I’ve been at Tibet House for an art opening and I’m so tired but happy…lovely singing and – spirit lift. The cloth work is in the moment Grace…very now, and real. CHEESE! Indians let milk sour then curd with a bit of lemon and strain. Last forever. LOVE
