i woke as usual…those split seconds of no memory of How It Is….the clear clean feel of just Morning and then i remembered.  And always the hope that the NEWS will give some good thing,  but it doesn't.   So i put the water on for tea and went out on the step till it boiled.   Began reading,  following links and soon i got to one that like Laurie Anderson said,  was enough to stun an ox.     But i was stunned by     my own ignorance.     Sat a long time with that.  Not knowing where to go from there  till it came to be time to go Feed.    That done,  i sat with thoughts again and was startled by the degree to which i wanted the innocence of that ignorance back.  How strong the wish was   to NOT KNOW.

still,  the image is distorted but not so obvious with Plants…    For the first time since Michigan,  i will be in the presence of Black Eyed Susans.   This single plant…16 blossoms.   Soon.

(((Grace))) I woke up so distressed by the nws coming out of America that I had to listen to Leonard Cohen’s album Songs of Love and Hate to get things into perspective!
and re Black Eyed Susan, it’s a vine here in Australia aka Thunbergia alata, yours looks like Rudbeckia hirta a lovely easy to grow perennial that flowers for ages
Very curious about the article Laurie Anderson talked about, want to share a bit more?

Even though the rough gods are present here now…do not despair-change is coming and it is necessary. https://youtu.be/hfqjWPvSlVc

Even with this dark cloud hanging over us .. our gardens bloom. I wrote this on a Instagram post but seemed fitting to say it again here.
