when i previewed the pic BEFORE clicking on it to turn it upright, it appeared the correct size. Clicking and turning upright turned it into a slice of bread again. So, the answer to your question is yes.
Why is this suddenly happening? this has been happening since 5-28……out of the blue. As you can see, there's no point in posting pics as they are too weird. Thank you
are you posting pics directly to typepad or to a photo app first?

from phone gallery to typepad. Same same same as for a looooooong
time now. On 5-28 it was just different.
this is a Bummer. it’s hot. i cannot sit here and
screw with all Anna’s and now Marilyn’s suggestions.

phone to typepad is a problem for me too. I transfer to the computer first. It became more of a problem this year. It is definitely typepad’s problem. it work fine if you put them on a computer first. Are you taking the pictures vertically or horizontally on the phone?

it hasn’t been an issue till 5/28.
you helped me with this before some months ago.
i guess a year? maybe?
and i learned how to work it. But it is not working
anymore.
i take the pics vertically, like any normal person would.
take the pic of what’s in front of me….Plant, Cloth.
they show up sideways for typepad and i reorient them.
that’s a step i “shouldn’t” have to take, but i’ve
gotten used to it.
This tho….
it’s HOT. There is SO MUCH to DO…
i am just not into sitting here trying thing after thing
to simply upload a decent pic to the blog.
it’s all just NOT user friendly.
but the thought of switching to some other thing
is more than i can bear.
i don’t like wordpress format either.
i don’t kno. Am going down to the Garden now. there is
a BeautyFULL WInd blowing, it will fix me.
