Buck goats.    Nogal the youngest.   Proven by siring the two wethers,  minnion and black.   His first.   and so far,  only  opportunity.   But he busys himSelf in his forrest and enjoys watching life go by.  He is gentle tho almost impossible to catch for an Evacuation.  Almost impossible to catch for a Portrait….this is the best i could do.   He should have been sold to become a herd sire.  But not.

it is close to impossible for me to photograph this side of the Hill…the dramatic DROP,  close to verticle down to the canal creek. This is the closest i have come?   Down at what appears to be the edge of the creek,  you can make out Goat forms.  This hill side had been thick with grasses that are extremely flammable.  Goats have cleared this and now,  this circle of season,  go to the edge of the creek for all the green things that thrive there.   Then…on the other side of the creek is the dirt road/path of Feather River Electric who monitors the creek.  no one drives that road except them maybe once a year and Alyssia when she sneaks past the police barricade during evac.  There is then another drop of maybe 80ft ….you can just barely see the road…Old Olive Hwy.  where the civilized world begins.
