Oh my yes ~ why not indeed! Is the wonderful book you speak of titled The Book Of Boro: Techniques and patterns inspired by traditional Japanese textiles? Susan Briscoe is the author. I have this book on “stored books lists” (by topic) in my storage locker. I also have a vintage book titled Cut my Cote by Burnham. Thank you for the inspiration and reminder! I made “the coat” one about the same time and in same community, as you made yours. It is well mended at the moment – maybe a new one is called for! That looks like a wonderful book. I never heard it called “noragi.” I would love to have one. I started one with Jude but it is on hold, sadly. I don’t know what it needs to move forward. I also have the book Cut my Cote that LaceLady mentioned, been interested in these type of garments for a long time.
