    this one.

loved.  because there was no image in mind,  no thought ahead.  Just cloth on cloth.  Feeling on Feeling.  Texture on texture,  which means,  touch.   Touch on touch.   I would like more to be like this.   Maybe,  but it takes a really open and willing self for this to come about.

i don't know what was happening when i made this Cloth???  I like that.  That i don't remember,  because i can just look at it Now and feel what it gives,  which is looking like being overwhelmed,  or at least, "whelmed"  by Goats and Plant People,  losing Self in Them,  till this is my Face…..?????

    how Water makes Life possible.

Continuing Here,  from a desert,  Here,  not yet knowing what to call this kind of Place,  but the constant and abiding element is Water.

there isn't a day that They aren't at some point Central.   I like this Cloth,  that one eye is like mine,  one is like theirs.  Sometime,  i'll finish it.  No need to hurry.

Addendum.   I am making my bed.  flapping sheets to tuck,  pillows,  the Comforter accordian folded at the bottom for in the morning,  around 4 am when it now is ……cold.    I brought up beets from the wall garden and they are in the pot,  though it's still very warm,  the heat of that cooking is ok,  will dissipate soon,  but in the moment,  the Scent of the beets,  the Smell of them  rises,  each time i flap a sheet to make the bed  for the Night Sleep…it's such a small space,  one thing goes into the other…beets,  bed linens and then…this point of this, Goats,  just outside the screen door,  moving,  arranging themselves for the night.

Tomorrow Cinderella  gets to be free.  Ten days.   All we know to give.

These next pics have been blogged before.  They are not new.  I know every stitch of them.

I can't find the Picasa file anymore.  They say it's out there,  somewhere,  but i don't know how to find it.

These next pics used to be on a wall that i loved.   It was just unfinished sheet rock but it was unobstructed surface for Cloths.  It let them float free.  This good and Enough wall here is small and has obstructions to floating,  but it can hold these Cloths enough so i can keep them with me this way.  The tub will need to go back to the storage.  There's no room.   So i want to put them here,  now,  this way,  so i can look at them as i need to look at them and remember all i learned about cloth making,  otherwise,  stuff drifts

the tub,  labeled with masking tape…My Cloth.

    20180830_185437

at the storage unit place.  Cement and metal boxes that have a lock,  a garage type door.  All my stuff is in there.  What i wanted, needed,  is some black and some white floss.  So i can work to finish this cloth of Now.    It was in a drawer of the dresser that i hauled here.  The baskets of floss.  Two of them.  We got there, with at most 20 minutes to locate these and we did and it required that i climb,  literally,  over stuff .     While i was at it,  i took the Sweet Grass Braid that is Old…like, 30 years old and still…..still holds it's scent.  I took the recipe box.  Tucked these in,  to the tub of Cloths.   Then,  after this,  there were things to do.  Like the giving medicine  to Cinderella,  like feeding the Buck Goats,  like giving Water to the Wall Garden and the two trees and the three grape vines.  Giving water to the stump of the Hydrangea that the Goats had eaten to a nub.  Feed Puppy.  Tay.  make my bed for the night.

tomorrow i'll look in that tub that says…..my cloths…on the masking tape label,

Giving water.  Wall Garden.  Lost in thought,  gazing in that vague and open way,  for movement of the tree frogs,  or spring peepers of the Old Place,  but mostly,  lost in thought when the Brain alerted.   LOOOK! and i startled and looked.  Those stalk stumps mean only one thing.

    here????????

    20180829_183551

yes.  here.   How brilliant,  the Hawk Moth,  amidst a meadow of dry seeding native grasses,  a forest of Pine and Oak.  No garden here,  ever before.  No tomatoes or eggplant.  Ever before.  Nightshades.    Then,  there are natural occuring nightshades…????  I am in awe of the Brilliance of this evolved biosphere.  In awe.

the color. i can't get it.  Not this brownish,  which is beautiful in this pic,  but not it….it's a grey kind of brown,  from the Oak Galls but no matter how i tried,  it wouldn't come True.  But i like,  very much the Marks

today was day 5 of the antibiotic injections for Cinderella.  Liquamycin LA 200  Oxytetraycline injection.  And the spray topical  Scarlex.   Day 5 when you evaluate any improvement,  to continue,  or to let it go.  All the books,   the o  nline info,

with goats,  at a point you just

    cull.

which means put down.  kill.  Cull is kind of a nicer word for kill.

her udder is much better…reduced in size…the point of all of it seems to be oozing and releasing.  Her butt hole is pink and dry.  Her appetite is good and today,  for the injection,  she was Strong and resisting.  5 more days then.  It's what we can thnk of.  She is held in this corridor between the Doe Forest and the Original Buck Yards.  It's narrow,  but Long.  The other Goats come to visit on the Doe side.  Her mother,  Ginger comes off and on through the day,  just to see her.  It has to be this way.  If we let her loose,  we would never be able to catch her anymore.  This way, we can do all that we know to do.  She yells, being caught,  even tho she doesn't run away from being caught,  but when she is caught,  being held by her new collar for the injection,  she yells.   She doesnt yell for the injection,  just for the Holding.  When it's all over,  she eats the pellets.

to me,  always the Moment of the "year",  the circle of seasons.   the point upon which so much pivots.

this time,  in this Place,  where everything so ancient is new to me,  i understand,  as in Felt/Sense,  that it is the time of Beginning here.   There is an expectant feeling to the Forest.  Forest waits for the Rains.  I want to tune Self to this.  I live here now.  Want to become Of It.

the  Permaculture guy,  the helper,  Marcus,  told me that many of the Plant People,  bushes, shrubs,  become dormant in the heat of high summer.  That once the temperatures return to 80's they wake.  Today i'll trim the  California Lilac that has managed to hold on,  through.   shore up a small run off with a few more rocks.  Give the first water of this awakening time.  Then begin to leave it alone,  as it likes to be.

remember the mood rings?  it would have begun flickering the other day when i remembered that Rune out of nowhere.  Adversity.    the simple configuration of pine needles triggering it,  the memory.   Down at B.  Took a while but a very slight reference completly out of context set things in motion.  I woke off and on all night,  getting up,  going Out with the Goats who sleep just outside the door now,  going Out and standing,  indulging in the mood about maybe ending up in this travel trailer through yet another Rain season.  I might.  Actually,  i think the odds are good that i might.  Bummer,  if so.  So yesterday eve, the goodbyes were vague and this morning when Jenny arrived,  the greeting vague.  Alyssia was way late so Jenny and i worked in silence…she at cutting and loading poison oak vines into the truck,  me at dragging the 3 articles of heavy wooden yard furniture from New Mex.  Julian came to ask if i was feeling lonely…no and him  swatting a fly carefully to just knock it out and then flinging it in to the Spider who lives in the morning window.  We watched in silence as she wrapped it and hauled it up out of sight and he said,  OK and went off.  And i indulged the Mood.   But got restless from that indulgence but still wanting the Distance,  did some on this and it quieted things.  Adversity.  An interesting construct.
