running up and down
back and forth
shrill sounds
as always, they are
FREE
do they run
for the mountains?
no.
up and down the road….
shrill whinnying
and it's almost dark.

Hello Grace. I passed through your state on the train! I wondered, will I see Grace? I remember the loose horses in the barn area of the racetrack…catching them was necessary but Oh I had such sympathy with them running free…
