this kind of day is a challenge for me.  different things going on, needing to move from one thing to the next and not get dis connected.  i wanted to somehow get the top weaving of the Theater finished with invisible baste.  continuing from last night, late, when i had basted the top and the bottom of the strips, two down, this morning i realized that i would want to insert things into the weave. change: invisible baste through the center of the woven strips leaving the edges top bottom sides able to take in whatever it might be.

Glennis' moon.  yes.  and there will be a Sun on the left (right of itself) of equal size.  i can see them in my mind…not "rays" but their light flowing down.  in this moment i am imagining small things in that "fermament" with and near them, wing things.  we'll see.

the weaving of this part of the Theater has been stitched to a muslin backing which in turn will be stitched to that piece of skirt at some point.  i realized that the skirt piece needed to be free of the "curtains" so that it's backdrop of the world could be pieced upon it.

so.  i exhale long slow and completely.

inbetween this, the 12'X20' bones of the Hoophouse greenhouse were disassembled by the same 3 of us that assembled it.  it was sad.

another person came bringing sacks of newspaper to use in starting fire in the wood stove.

AND time…FINALLY….to begin saying hello to all in the Contemporary Boro class….looking closely at their posted work, reading the words of greeting.  how amazing!  i think there are over one hundred of us!!!  there is a REALLY good feeling to it~

so…what a day.  a good, very good day.

A good day indeed. How are you finding stitching on the black? It’s hard for me to see what I’m when black is my background.

hi grace! like the black as a beginning. reminds me now – with just the full moon – of looking at something one eye open holding one eye closed, squinting. and knowing you intend to have the sun there on the other side – then both eyes open. I am still stuck on thoughts of preparing to start a new year – and it feels a lot like that.
happy new year! – looking forward to being in class with you!

are you kidding??a blog??? i barely know how to operate this machine called a computer.
it told me in no uncertain terms that when i make a comment my email will not be displayed. now that was an out & out lie. well–maybe its a bit unfair to call my computer a liar. ( i really do appreciate you, computer) i’m actually quite sure the problem lies with the computer operator. at this point i don’t even know how to post a picture. so you see what we’re dealing with here.
    i’ll get there.
    this part is definitely fun.

Hey Grace… I found you here! Lovely backdrop and curtain you have going there. I love watching things grow from the beginning on…
Hoping your pipes don’t burst! We had that happen to someone at our Apartment complex about a week ago when we had a long stretch of sub-freezing weather. As soon as it started to warm up a bit over freezing their water heater and pipes burst. What a mess.
This cold weather makes me wish I had a real fireplace to sit in front of.

Hi there Grace – I love your total involvement in what you are doing. And I love the idea of a theatre. It must be good to be able to reply to each individual on typepad? And are you relocating house? Gilly
