   That’s kind of pretty. I can imagine stitching it. At first I thought with small sequins, but upon enlarging it, I think seed beads would be better.

   Here in Maine we don’t touch white-haired caterpillars. They’re probably Hickory Tussock moth caterpillars which cause skin rashes, itching, allergic reactions. I hope that’s not one!

   I agree with Catherine. This is likely a west coast variety of Tussock Moth caterpillar and the spines can cause skin irritations and rashes.
