well, i’ll get the hang of it if i make enough mistakes first…
anyway…i don’t know if it matters, really, it’s light weight

no…it for sure is not flannel. i really don’t like
flannel. don’t know why. must be my childhood.

i keep going to feel it, peer at it…could it be….
that it WAS flannel and just has been washed so many
times that it has no fuzz left…just the woven threads???

well my immediate thought was that it was/is a flannel sheet/blanket that is worn… we used to have flannel blankets when we were little and they would get worn down and look like that… mom gave me one of my baby blankets that used to be fuzzy and is now exactly like what you have there.

i also think is “bold” flannel and will be soft enough to sew on it as a backing. I like your frankestein!!

well…hmmmm. it is really soft and really bald as in no
fuzziness…which is good. i guess i just wanted it to
be something else???? didn’t matter what, just not
flannel.
I like the frankenstien too. still learning.
sometimes frankenstiens are just the thing.

I so HUGELY admire bi and multi lingual people…is just
the very Best for so many reasons. i have gotten so
much better at spanish here and have some french from
long ago and had to learn some hindi for peace corps and
just the other day, realized that the two words that
immediately pop into mind from the hindi are the words
for Butterfly and Lizard. don’t know how to spell them
