yes. my beloved internet sister, Marti, Fieldlady, was
sent my little copper pot to celebrate her surprising
to all of us, GIFT, for dyeing with things that grow
in her immediate world. and she does have a
    gift.
the other day i was gifted back this beautiful pot. on
impulse, i stopped at an antique shop in Polvadera where
i live. that in itself is odd enough. Polvadera has
ONLY a very small post office, an old mission church.
AND an antique shop. no one much goes there.
but, here, on inquiry, was this pot. When i asked the
price, and she asked why i wanted it, those things
exchanged, it happened. half the marked price.
    so…for the spring dyeing.

Little copper pot that found its way here from Polvadera is magic and just the most special gift. All sorts of wonder has come from this pot; the most fascinating, an eco bundle made with arugula…I know, I know, arugula is expensive but I grow it in my cold frame and these were the trimmings. A splash of vinegar to the cloth and a little to the pot to get verdigris and an explosion of gorgeous greenish, aquamarine color emerges and the thrift store scrap of cotton or maybe it was a mix turned into a crinkly cloth that stretches and is wild. The copper pot continues to give such wondrous delights. Thank you such a small phrase for such a huge surprise gift.

well, Marti. isn’t it all just really
    Something.
the little pot to you and in return, this Big pot
came to me in a way that i could manage.
i have my arugula seeds set out. following your example,
i’ll see what comes of it here. do know that differences
in water etc bring differences in response. but, also
DO know that the cloth you got is just a complete
    and unsurpassable surprise of green/aqua/turquoise
    beauty.
so…spring again and here we go!
    MUCH LOVE to you……..
