feeling something.  i wake up.  look at these things on the wood stove.  light the Nag Champa.

a day flits by.

at the end, i have accomplished this much.

the BIG thing is not at all the weaving of such a large cloth.  the Big thing is fitting pieces/colors/shapes in to the small dancing goat cloth.  this is still the challenge.  Why? why is it so hard?

tomorrow it is going to be cold.  so went out to split and bring in more wood.

    and what i didn’t say
    ?
is how this seems so small
in comparison with the World’s concerns
with the people in Libya….wouldn’t they just give anything to be
    concerned with a cloth

yes they would. i think we have both had a really small day. small in that all i did was work on cloth. i have worked on the small little one on my blog and then spent all afternoon evening on the first indigo cloth. i have quilted and sewn and stitched in this peaceful quiet thoughtful way.
i am home alone today and tomorrow i go back to work, so today was special.. a gift to myself.
you have achieved so much. a gift to jennie. the people of other places in turmoil have had these days too, but not now. we are the lucky ones today.

i can’t see the goat piece well enough. could you take a shot of just it? and what we do is be the best we can be. and send that good energy. it seems small but it is big. imo.

i see a strange tension forming in this cloth. there is a sense of potential and also symbolism in this. we are so very luck really. i was thinking this today. my problems are very small. as big as they sometimes seem.

Maybe the hardest because it seems the most risky? World events can put things into perspective…reminds me to not take anything for granted.

the tension may be some from that lower part being off
and it may be the lighting too. we’ll see.
will leave the entire bottom as is for the moment and wait
till it’s taken down and put on the door table.
yes…in a certain way, all our problems are small here.
that is something i think a lot, when going to sleep and
when waking….that even though there are Things, i have
a bed that is warm and dry. i have a window that is
near the road that does not have war on it. this in itself
    is a very huge thing.

Yes, never take anything for granted. not now, not ever. I am the second generation of a european family brought up in turmoil and without, and it was imbedded in my soul. Therefore I TRY to keep each day, each snarl and snag into perspective. Our freedom should never be taken for granted, feel lucky one is able to take the time to be concerned about cloth. it is a privledge! Embrace it.

such a gift, to sew all all all day. it’s been 3 days
now, for me. not always sewing, but looking, thinking.

yes. maybe a setting of illusion/delusion. i feel
that great change is coming and it is of a totally
    unknown kind
maybe why i will throw in my lot with women, goats and
cloth. we will need Each Other.

yes. that rusty turtle. Nance’s son made the glass
    “marble” that it is carrying.
