"Showing up….acknowledging the moment as it is rather than preoccupation, denial, or avoidance related to whatever we might prefer the moment to be….and Staying present."    Acey

the most perfectly perfect choice of and then arrangement of words.  perfect.  yes.  in the most absolute sense.  yes.004
and the gift of what is for me, a completely perfect morning.  already 80 at 8am, some wind.  the kind of wind that makes sound.

002
and still looking.   at color.   at my seemingly undeniable love for these same dark kinds of colors.  thinking if that is an ok thing??? or should i expand this lifelong propensity.  i don't know.

003
and what do we have here, i'm wondering……….

    i agree with the rooster.
i also struggle to try to put different colors in my cloths and clothes. i redid my closet yesterday and in a moment of anal compulsive behavior I put them in color order. i should take a picture but you would see i own black and khaki and little else. some lime green and orange. boring.
i am still thinking about what i will do in diaries and it always comes to blue.. indigo as a favorite. still don’t know. i see the off whites and want those too.
so i am weaving and trying to not think of it.
btw.. the warp is not blue.
will put a picture on my blog

I think it’s quite a bit more than simply “okay” to work with whatever color range best embodies one’s personal understanding of this non-verbal language. I perceive what you’re wondering about is much more about the (ongoing, ever-refining) establishment of a working palette rather than lingering in an established comfort zone. Seems to me that taking the time to ponder that establishment’s refinement goes a long way to successful expression of whatever themes are most compelling to any given individual. I definitely see the rooster now that others have mentioned it but, before that, I thought it was more of a dragon or mythical dream creature coming to life (the vivid colors, I thought, were kind of like metaphorical flames) after a long sleep & intensive dreaming.

it would take a bit of extra stitching for me to be convinced that it really is a rooster. i am wondering if you have stitched the eye or is it drawn on to be stitched. couldn’t really tell from the enlargement. i see a reflection of some sort in the eye itself and maybe that the colors radiating out have something to do with what your eye is seeing. it was “comfortable” for me before the rooster was mentioned. i could see it as your vision…. and i do not think you are envisioning a rooster some how… unless??? its someone from your past???? somehow i was looking at it as the future though. is this making any sense at all? well, i believe in your vision of things. i believe you are able to see and that the meaning will come through…esp with the flower essence of acey’s… its amazing what is happening with you and your vision of things since this treatment.

I did not see rooster at all. I saw an aura of Native American Celebration!
As for your colors…I think it is ok to be pulled in by the same colors. Maybe that is another way to make your mark, your signature, another way to be Grace.
But if you are questioning it…maybe a growth of some sort is taking place.
I still like the cloth, but miss the eye! 🙂
And the light, bright blue seems so startling, a bit out of sync with the earthy New Mexico colors happening there. I guess something about Me is that I seek balance. It doesn’t have to be there and it most certainly isn’t always there in life…but visually I like it! HA! Maybe that blue means something to you…something new, or different or personally growing…or…

on a more serious note, maybe it represents the ‘mind’s eye’ (i’m back to that again) instead of what is visually right in front of you.

    do you think?
no. no rooster. it is about Sun Love. i will post
another one tomorrow. maybe it will be less roosterish.
the eye was stitched. just “free needle”. i think i
might draw it on with pencil next time. did a lot of
stray stitching to achieve this much…wasn’t necessary,
    really.
these eyes aren’t really mine, just eyes. just things
    that see…witness. just eyes.

yes. i did. i went through some months without eyelashes at all on my left eye because the dr. cut them off when he did eye surgery. i wouldn’t let him do the second surgery unless he promised he wouldn’t cut them off. i never appreciated my eyelashes until i didn’t have them.

my new cloth, the sister cloth to magic , which is only a sketch in my minds eye…has an eye in the middle. at least i started thinking about it that way. i am wanting to say that if the colored shards continue here, it could be the center of a spin. this eye.
