there is an October Festival in town. lots of music, food, Arts and Crafts. a couple of times i took the gourds i drew on and painted. there is a woman i know who takes her jewelry, and another who takes pottery. i think i am going to take this
needs finishing. and maybe two more. sit there with whichever her it is and see how people "receive" them. you never know.

it is a beautiful cloth .. I read all the comments and then thought it was such a grand idea .. but then no … what is it that made you change from going to not going? I sometimes take my various cloths with me my own style of sewing and I am always surprised by the reactions of those that sit near me. But I am only stitching and visiting. nothing more. …….my heart is longing for more stitching .. to much happening….my heart still longs. like in your previous post .. i long to stay still … no going just staying home.

well….what i actually meant was i would take them to
SELL.
i have always sold things i made in the past.
never cloth tho.
BUT, my two elders are moving along at a clip and i DO know that
i do NOT want to replace that income with more elder care. also,
i do know that when i manage to make it up to N. Cal (her too)
with my daughter, we will be intending to sell her goat cheese etc
at Farmer’s Market. up there, as in Oregon, when i was there for
a year, the Farmers Markets are equally art markets. it is my
intention to sell there.
so, by venturing out, i meant, getting back at least a little in
that groove.
but almost the moment i said it, i knew i’m not ready. my cloths
aren’t ready for that for one.* they are not what they can be yet.
i have more to learn. and two, most immediate was that i really
really really want to just fall into the Diaries cloth…and, as i
write this, maybe that is where i can develop an understanding that
might allow the small cloths to be what thay can.
i am not thinking about any grandiose art cloths, but just honest
little story cloths. that uhhhh, say what they can in stitch and
image. 12″ or so. maybe $40. i chose 40 because it’s what i
get paid for my elder visits and would keep me in that flow. *another way to say it bluntly, i don’t think i’m good enough yet.
re the longing…well….it’s a choice. i did that when i found
Spirit Cloth. aside from the two little work jobs, it’s all i
do. period. people got used to it. i am pretty much still. as
much is fair in this world. and i wouldn’t change that for anything.

Oh .. I do understand however, I think your cloths are quite beautiful and no doubt at that price people will buy them. I do understand though the feeling of wanting to wait until you feel right about doing it. and about your wanting to dive into the magic diaries cloth. I need to be doing that as well…….melting into stitching cloth ..
