and as It moves in its' arc,   It shines down upon me   …  cleaning.  cleaning the Room.  i will have company on wednesday.  the cleaning began a few days ago with yet more divesting.  i am getting close to spartan.  who would guess.   and as i look at what i've done,  i see that i have really become serious about this cloth stuff.    it's pretty much all there is left.  a few drawing pads.  my colored pencils.  the box of drawing tools,  like blending sticks and erasers..the stump of my first pink pearl.  so what's left, i have moved from here to there, there to here.  looking.   in a stack of folders of all the classes of the MotherShip, there were these two cloths.  i stitched them together and stuck them on the window as Moon turned the sky that amazing evening blue,  a color that Glennis gets a lot with her indigo dye.  the artificial light in the Room made it's own changes.

001

002
these are two cloths from the first class, Spirit Cloth.   parts of them are on this Diaries Cloth.  today Jude commented about how maybe parts of the beasts, of us, come loose and become integrated into our environment.  yes.

The flow in these cloths go from one to the other. There is a sense of continuing here. We had a pale blue moon yesterday, wow.

Ah–company! That’s always my motivation to shake out the dust, re-plot the space, renew my vision–those two lovely lovely cloths against the glowing evening sky are to die for Grace. The interior is full of warmth, integral, beasts and all. I tried to post a moon muse thing for you but You tube seems to be out to lunch. I’ll try again.

I just came in from gazing at the moon with the stray cat. She sat on my outdoor work bench with the moon light casting its light on her emerald green eyes. We sat quietly, with an occassional purrup from her. I thought of Jude and Peggy and you. The same moon shining on all of us. xo

A motley dark grey sky and the february moon is hiding behind it here in Australia….illumination where it hides, but no shape. Still a thing of beauty though.
Grace I love how these two pieces have come together…a sort of prayer flag for your window.
I stitched a little moon the other day too.

Good thoughts, beautiful light. Last night Pasha was SOOO eager to get outside because of the near to full moon. He goes CRAZY, and he doesn’t get to go out after dark because of all the predators. Last night the light was so beautiful on the snow and through the branches of the forest that I felt really sad for him to not be able to have night anymore….

OH MY GLORY!!! Those first cloths are magical. You sure can do faces justice.
I love that color of the sky, it twinkles and makes you wonder.
Please tell about the person running through the trees (behind the brushes – more trees in a way).
I so enjoy coming here, thanks for posting such beauty.

i pared down to only what i loved when i moved into my little house. i love the william morris quote
“have only what you know to be useful and think to be beautiful”
it doesn’t always last but it is a goal. i think less is always more.
looking forward to these new classes and continuing this one. isn’t it incredible?

Grace, these are so beautiful. I love the movement, the colors, the contrasts, and the synchronicity. The red moon is very powerful. It’s so interesting to see how each person in Jude’s class is unique in her expression of the cloth. Lovely!

I’m enjoying stitching little moons for this cloth and today I am trying Judes tin moons in an oak bath I made up (dont know how successful the oak is dyeing though).
The glow was sort of like an ikat design in the sky…I liked it.
