the fence,  the one that will hold immediate need, is up.   my Friends,  Mike and Thelma came and we did it.    Jenny arrived and agreed it was good.  yes.  ok.  yes.

012

we cut a space in the guinnea hen palace like Jude cut her cloth.   opened it.  now, the new babies that will be born in a few weeks, or a couple,  can run and hide from their elders.  done.

009
and at the end of this Totally Excellent Very Good Day i see that the young locust is working at her blooms.  i'm not sure, but i think they will be purple.

013
and last, but not at all least, there is Our Moon.  She has already been at Jude's house.  took Her a while, but now rising here.   isn't that just Something?,  yes it is.

and over and through the woven conversation with Jenny,  at some point i said

"you know,  i would be very ok here, like, Very OK …….until i am feeble.  then, protective services could come and remove me."   She said, yeah.  I know, ma.

What a great day.

catching up. more death here, too. i have been to eleven funerals since early february. but today the thoughts were not so deep or difficult as i was outside planting seeds and clearing in the old perennial garden. making plans – gentle and tentative. as i sat drinking chocolate mint iced tea from last year’s harvest the crows headed home from their day’s activities. cawing and circling it seemed they were including me in their ritual. gathering sticks I walked into a little section of the property where we haven’t Stepped before. the ground was surprisingly firm and level. I thought it was slanted and very far under the tops of the pachysandra but now i see it is safe to walk without fear of tripping. Many large rocks. Am currently reading wonderful thoughts about rocks and how they move us physically not just emotionally. Moon hidden under clouds …

Yesterday the changing cloth and today these amazing changes…the fence is just perfect. What a lot of work you do…amazing again…and the locust and the moon (swoon)…ours is due full on Friday…and as for feeble, well when do the young really understand our concerns over those issues? To them, no doubt, we will always be there and fit. It take time to grow into that understanding. Sure hope you and I see one another in the flesh before protective services has any business with you dear-soul, hardy-pioneer, great cloth-visionary!

What amazing work for this most amazing and excellent day. It is fun to see the transformation, and I know more is to come.
Bueno. . .bueno. . . Though still some roads to travel, no?
And for the record – providing I am not entirely feeble myself – I will assume the role of protective services, should it ever come to that – and New Mexico can always remain your home.

oh, this was needed by me too. i am catching up with all the posts since it is a weird time. i wonder if mars is retrograde (not that i know what that means.)
i think somehow we become a part of where we are. the natives thought that too.
i was so comforted seeing the cloth and the land.
thanks for posting in busy times. i am having a hard time doing that.
i am like michelle, i think we need a big gathering of stitchers someday in our lives.

my lilacs are blooming too. i put some pics of them on my blog. we have white locusts in the field next to us and their scent fills the air when they come into bloom.
i like seeing pictures and reading thoughts of your life. i visit here often.

A place for the kids to run & hide from their elders…perfect. Maybe all Kids nee this. And such a beautiful sentence: “She said, yeah. I know, ma.” Deep understanding. I see you there in the summer uniform, legs close together, feet becoming soil & roots. Planted, yet growing. This IS good!
