you might think that a normal person would get tired of working on the same cloth for months on end.  probably, but…not here.  she missed her flight so yesterday i got to just do kantha all day

002
and i got to the place where the needle is and realized i'd forgotten to account for Thunder.   What might Thunder look like?   thinking……….

005
and having looked at this for months,  very suddenly i saw it differently

007
it's a butterfly wing!

008

and looking here,  i see too that in the last few days,  Guess What?….the whole story is Changing.  Now What…?

I saw thunder last night..a storm was approaching the ballpark from the distant west just past sunset, the sky purple and navy blue. the very high clouds seemed to bulge and swell with the sound the way a belly does when the baby turns over.

about thunder… I “see” giant invisible hands with drumsticks playing a huge drum in the sky…

an interesting question, what would thunder look like. We have so little thunderstorms around here that I nearly forgot. Usually it’s only a boom and then it moves away. But where I lived before, man, did we have thunderstorms. They rolled and played in the valley caught by the mountains and a huge motorway bridge, closed in trying to get free, follow the wind, fighting among themselves and rumbling against the boundaries and after hours finally subsiding, being tired and exhausted and only then the valley would let them free. Great sulphur yellow clouds within a sky full of stone grey and peat black.
Thanks for the reminder of some impressing thunderstorms s

It’s like a map of your life, the more you look the more you see and it changes where you are going. It really does change things, because as you get to the top of the next hill you can see more of where you might be going – you can choose.

Thunder, rolling thunder. A break in the kantha…then return to parallel semi-evenness. Your stitches tell so much. Your cloth tells so much. It grows from you…from the land itself.
