all along with this mending for goats,  there has been a strong sense of the cloth work Continuing in some silent    subliminal  way.   and this morning, YES!  suddenly i put together 3 pieces of floss, brown, red, orange to get the right color of blood and YES!,  knew to stitch across the lightning where it hits with its vertical  to give life to the horizontal!  and knew to use the stacked stitch to create the heartbeat, the pulse…………..  so, YES!….it all weaves together of it's own accord.001fix

Things dream themselves into being, especially when we continue to stir the cauldron…..
and for that matter, come over to RavenWood to see what happened to a few of those gourds you sent me last year!!

    it is a repetition motion

the best part is that i had no conscious thought.
    just urge
and following that, it was perfect for the expression
of what happens there in that “room”…..

So beautiful Grace, I want to reach through and gently touch this cloth – wonderful, and I can feel your hand in it, the deep peace of stitching – the complexity that makes it look simple, I love that!

Robyn..it was very much Something, this small event. the Knowing
    without knowing.
following the movement of what needs to happen in the days as
    they go. following.
    not going ahead of anything
but following what needs to happen…….
    and there it Was.
i am feeling that there might be a lot of this in the coming days.

Hey Grace…did you see Judy’s post…I love this clip of Rauchenberg talking about how the artist is just a spectator…that the material presents itself and leads you where you need to go…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVfsjJniFrs

Sometimes I stop sewing and stiching for some days because life is so demanding or I have to think over how to continue and when I continue it is like coming home from a little journey and most important: like feeling at home. I´m still suprised how this developed during the last year.
I imagine you stiching on your cloth with the feeling being at home in yourself. so you can know where is the right place for every piece and every stich with dreamlike certitude.

but…..sensuously nourishing, now yes. this lightning
    nourishes me…it’s some of Deb Lacativa’s work….
and it strikes here…during Monsoon, waking the desert to life.
