i stitched some things to the Deb Lacativa piece at the top, the Sun/Moon.  and i stitched down the birds.  i don't know if there will be more.  and i made Saag Paneer with the paneer that came from that quart of goat milk.  While snipping the stems off two large clumps of spinach leaves and becoming restless with it,  i said aloud: " I am preparing these leaves to make a most delicous meal"  and everything became ok.  and it WAS so so delicious.  i added a handfull of currants.

then i went out to work in the Albatros, moving the pallets so the new 2nd side of the indoor pen could open and close.  It's all a catch-22.  to accomplish one thing, 3 more must be done first.  I let Magic out as i usually do, her being "special".  She puttered and spent a lot of time in the wire rolls as she does because they are bouncy.007f

I kept working.

001
all the stuff you see on the right, needs to come out.  it's the second indoor pen.

003
this is the shelves with all manner of potentially useful stuff.

008
more important stuff.

and somewhere here, i got hooked by everyone else deep in envy about Magic being so special, so, i suddenly decided to let them ALL out.

015
and i thought i fixed this pic, but i guess not, but really, it's kinda how it felt, with Everyone milling.  and i think this also was when i decided to have a glass of wine.  or maybe when i saw Chinche feeling a little left out

005f
this posture is a request for a stomach pet.

and then i came in, after i got them all back and added a lizard.  it's the wine.  i'll need to take most of it apart tomorrow, but i liked doing it anyway

025f

it was a really nice day.

I can’t believe I stopped in just now; I laughed out uloud when I saw Magic in the chicken wire, and harder when you let them all out. So beautiful there Grace! Thank you. I am glad to hear the cheese is already working.
And p.s. I came back to see the crows and the universe sky. Also beautiful. Thank you for that, too, Grace. The way you open whole vistas in your work always gets me….

Wendy…so a really nice day is even nicer with your
words. coming all the way from Ontario, which i remember
well. it just adds to it all. a kind of Full Circle.
Ontario was in my life soooo long ago.
and she really loves the rolls of wire. the chicken wire
is the most flexible, so, that best. i always find this
interesting. once she is OUT, what does she love? chicken wire. first and foremost.
    Thanks, Wendy…xoxo

Glad for a nice day for you and the all let out goats. I like the lizard, it has story already. Is it hard to get the goats all back ‘in’ when you need to? I smile as I picture you goat-hearding 🙂

Oh my,goats in the chicken wire, oh yeah! Everything looks so green and I love Saag Paneer. We used to eat saag lots of ways in Pakistan, it is very popular in the Punjab where the previous husband comes from. Old memories. And cheese from the goats? How wonderful! A toast to all of you. Hugs.

Hi Grace, me again! I have just gone right back through your blog to where I remembered, which turned out to be in June. I was so shocked to realise how long it has been since I visited. What a lot has happened, goat-wise and Cloth-wise and you have been in a whirlwind of busyness. The new fence looks wonderful; I’m with you, I like to share but I also like my own world without all and sundry looking in. I love your boro work – the robe and the jumper and the noragi, just enough! My jacket is a rainbow but I do love the colour and the stitching so for me, that’s my enough. I am so glad you kept on with the face, I understand more now and I love it. Hugs.

Goats are funny creatures, I have helped care for some years
    ago + chickens + lamas.
Love the lizard because it adds a nice balance/grounding to the quilt.

no…goat feed pellets make a really excellent rattle in the bucket. it’s their favorite sound. so you put some in, go out and warble “Come Come” and i add a little
trill of Ebiedibie for the little ones and they all rush
behind the bucket. it was actually a practice run for
when we make the long trip through the house yard to the
New Back which will be soon. we need to go through
that passage fast so they don’t get a look and an interest in what grows there. the only part that’s off limits.

i make a lot of Indian food…and the paneer is such a
great meat substitute in any of it, really. i think its
    just psychological tho.
well, the lizard will be revised this morning and
    there will be more
    THANKS for coming

and i should also say to give credit where credit’s due,
once they know what’s happening, like what you have in
mind, they are good about going along. it’s just
totally new, first time things, or things that happen
only once in a while that the rattling bucket is really
    needed.

Your life is so interesting and different from mine and many others…I marvel at all you do…I know I have said it before.
Thank you, thank you for all that you share.
I love Palak Paneer and Sag Paneer…I also cook a lot of Indian food…took lessons from an Indian lady who used to play the Sitar and teach music and dance at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY
Today 85% of my diet is vegetarian…I was a 100 percent then.
These days my husband and I are into Moroccan food.

    yes!
i really like any food that is spicy. but thinking about it, i
will cook those things and then go through times when i eat
things as plainly as possible. hmmmm.
yeah, it’s an odd little world here. i’m glad you like it.

These are great pieces of news…I like the lizard where he/she is….and I’m seriously impressed by how “plump” the goats look! They have a round, happy figure…..lovely! e.

You are always welcome…I am like you, I adore spicy and then I have times when I only want to eat what I call clean food…poached fish, steamed veggies and the like.
On of the many things I like about NM is the Mexican food.

how kind of you to use the word plump.
    yes, they are plump.
    fat.
but that was right after they ate. they blimp up like that
when their stomachs are doing the thing and by morning
    are slimmer. but they are
    plump.
once i can get them going with the kochia weed, that might
    change some.
daughter says they are too fat. oh, eee.
