it's pretty much the same. but i wanted to remember, record it.
on a lizard this small, the tail is hard. such almost non-existent stitches. and i ended up actually liking the spaces between stitches on the legs…gives a striped effect which works well enough. lizard's body is an inch and a quarter. it couldn't be bigger, and the others will need to be smaller…how will i do that?

it’s not what i see in my mind, but then that’s hard
to replicate because it’s an actual lizard.
there is a Bumper Crop this summer. they are skittering
all over. SMALLER than this one even. teeny.

they’re FAST. most here are the blue tails so that’s
pretty much what you see of the little ones..just a
streak of aqua. again…i’d have guessed there might
be fewer because of the goats. but really, there are
a LOT more than in the past. ??????????????????????

At least they are not bluetongues! We have a fine fat fellow living in the garage who comes out to toast in the sun; he is about 14/15 inches long and a diameter of maybe 4 or 5 inches. He,well I don’t know that it could be she, is quite capable of going for the cat or anyone else for that matter who bothers him and interrupts the daily sleep. Their tongues are quite blue and thick. We have tiny ones that run under the doors and scare (!) my daughter, maybe 2 inches tops. It’s hilarious.

the swooping birds seem to almost be casting their big shadows over your tiny-teeny really tiny lizard–it seems so real to me

I love the cloth. It looks very much like I envision your part of the world. They colours, the lizard, the sun … so very and totally different to where I live. So very much south and dry and very hot.
