Oh, Grace (((sigh))) She (you) is wonderful. Roots and wings (feather) together. Holding on to vision.
This takes my breath away.
And the wind, always the wind 🙂LikeLike

I’m loving this–loved the eye when you first posted it–love the eye as heart–and then the playful tail feather. Ah!

Was thinking of Jude’s words, the heaviness of vision, last night and then in my mind it became the ‘burden of vision’, or the burden of seeing what we don’t want to see, and then it became ‘the burden of eye…the burden of I’…and then the question is it burden or responsibility, and how to think about it? What a thought provoking sketch/cloth…

grace…yesterday was so special cause of your eye
I took it with me in my head as focal point in meditation.
The meditation is part of a course in pain management mindfulness.
I had your eye to focus and almost disappereared in space.
The teacher had to shake me back. Could I have travelled to you?

Grace,
What amazes me most is that your wordless image has stirred so many words.
Mastery level storytelling.
I love this…LikeLike

Yvette…if you did/could, i would be so so glad.
and what a GOOD work, for this eye, to hold you in
it’s gaze for your meditation. i can think of nothing
better. Nothing.

lynda…you did it though. with such exquisite precision
in each of the portraits of the People. exactly just
enough to make them come alive and real. i just
can’t say enough about them.
i think the hard, if there is one, part now will be to
continue with that in other work. you felt so strongly
about the People, about the story you had carried in
your heart/mind so long. i will be so With you as you
continue…

It’s funny, I am so drawn to her HANDS… the way they gently hold it all up… and since in my dream she is singing, they are gesturing with the sound…

well..just now, Like in JUST NOW i am working at
the representation of the paper cut out hands…not so
easy with the cloth…we’ll see.
and singing
she is, i think, in response to what might be most
closely “metaphor-ed” as a Sound that runs inside her.
like maybe a single sound from a cello.
Valerianna makes sounds like these…maybe she will
be able to take this furtherLikeLike
