i wonder sometimes about how this monitor “sees”. very
early this morning i saw something when i tweeked the
image that was NOT there the rest of the day…that
actually changed it…the degree to which her hair becomes
significant, those thermals stitched in with the birds

Amazing … I love all the movement in this piece. The thermals, the hair…and the colours, and the layers, and the stitching. I just love it Grace!!! This is such a beautiful cloth.

This woman calls to me, has since first I saw her. I have looked at her a very long time; yesterday, last night, early this morning. Blood stirs because who I see in this woman of the swirling, connecting hair is La Loba, aka wolf woman, aka she who collects bones. Clarissa Pinkola Estes introduces La Loba with these words and for me, they are this woman: “There is an old woman wo lives in a hidden place that everyone knows in their soul but few have ever seen…” and these words: ” she collects and preserves, especially that which is in danger of being lost to the world…” There is a deep story here grace with this cloth. To me, you have taken us to that soul place, I feel it, I sense it, I know it and I thank you.
