i have absolutely zero design training or vocabulary, so i can’t tell you why, but i really like what you’ve added in this afternoon’s photo. it anchors it somehow. makes it seem more – what – majestic.

Hi, Grace. I like how you’re playing with this. Sideways would look interesting, also. I really enjoyed your post on the unforeseen, as apparently a lot of other people did as there are 69 comments. A lot of conversation going on at your place! I’ve been drifting through the unforeseen for the last few weeks and then this week was very unforeseen and not in a good way. Then again, maybe unforeseen is usually not very good. I suppose stitching through it all is the only way to go…
    best, nadia

yes, the shift, top to bottom, did something unexpected. the unforeseen? also noticing the way the threads were woven through–so many ideas here. and it’s starting to look like like a symbol to me. what language? the language of Grace, of course

the top is a backgroujd, the bottom IS. It feels like a tree standing firm in the winter wind.

I like the changes. The bottom one has a push upward that is nice. I love the wispy white roots weaving in and out.

what captivates me is not the changes to the upper edge so much (tho I’ll admit to a slight preference to the lower one with something emerging)but the ecru threads ducking in and out… wow. love those!

am watching the Unforseen. and what might it “mean”, that
it’s “usually not very good”…am looking at that. and
looking very much at how there is much Unforseen that is
Very Good, but we don’t usually lable that as the Unforseen, or, I don’t.
