marigold. no, not any more. that winter 2 years ago
that went to 17 degrees BELOW zero pretty much took out
everything like that….things that would have “thrown”
seeds in the spring?….and then i decided not to replant
anything except vegetables. and then last year i didn’t
hardly do that…tomatoes, some yellow hots, cucumbers.LikeLike

the warmth of this is autumn somehow. I have some seeds for you..coreopsis from my garden. thrive on dog piss and neglect. they come back every year saying “I dare you not to smile”

And I saw where marigold is wonderful for dyeing too Grace…I’m going to plant some myself and try dyeing with the leaves.

marigold is a flower of new Mexico, of Mexico…it is
the flower strewn everywhere for the Dia de los Muertos,
the Day of the Dead when the life of the dead is celebrated.
and i know it provides safety to plants..in it’s properties as an insecticide which i am never sure what to think about. as in, DO I want it to keep the blue swallowtail away from the dill? yes and no.
BUT…how GREAT!!!! as a dye plant. i didn’t know this…
so…THANK YOU!!!!! AND LOVE for telling Us….LikeLike
