Sun, moon, stars- like bathing in a galaxy. Here we bathe in a tropical sea, with riots of color and goofy fish but we also have a shower curtain with deep indigo ocean and sandstone, cream colored sea shells. For many years, we had two bathrooms. Now in New Mexico, we have one; smaller house, yet it suits so well and there is space, high ceilings, etc. and of course, stepping outside, all the space in the world with that sky…
Pared possessions down to the bone with this final move and I rationalize this frivolity of two shower curtains by telling myself that the grand kids will giggle when they see the fish curtain and I can use it for spring and summer and switch to the indigo one in fall and winter. See it doesn’t take much to make me feel luxurious…!

planet. we all had so little money that year, her first
year in N Mex with the little kids…but she found these
in some sale bin at Bed Bath and Beyond. she used to
love that store.

and that is the greatest gift, to find luxury in
such things….
i remember my friend sparrow saying,
Want what you have so you can have what you want…
i’d switch it around…use the dark indigo ocean in the
Heat of the summers here, the goofy fish in Winter…
Good morning, Marti. Sky blessings upon you. were you
a success with the plants?

Didn’t find any houseplants that I liked but we did get started on our little garden. Got 3 tomato plants, jalapeno pepper, bell pepper, and will get a few more later plus some squash. Did start on my herbs with rosemary and oregano. Will need basil also and of course, cilantro. For my Kokopelli pots, I got a tiny lavender plant and a deep red geranium. Later will get mesclun because I always need to have assorted lettuce and rainbow Swiss chard. We saw some New Mexican salad seed packets.
