and feet.  yes, even legs.

and i like very much how this cloth holds its own on the Wall.

I'd like to THANK EVERYONE, SO MUCH for weighing in, here.  has been very important to me.

in Jude's diaries…there was some discussion about Communicating.   and Dee wondered:  "I guess another question could be:  is this communicating what I WANT it to communicate? (because absolutely everything we make communicates SOMETHING, even if made casually, unconsciously, or without clear intent)"

and  through the making of this cloth, i wondered:  am i trying to communicate something or am i simply creating image.  or, really, am i just satisfying some urge or need even,  to see what happens with no real intent or direction and

Leave the story to the viewer.

i think it's that.  the elements of this cloth are strong.  all of them.  i could tell you a story easily, but then i could tell you a different story, just as easily.   and you All have told me stories too.  and i think i like it that way.  it IS a story, but a story that can be many things to many people.  and this is good.

so, Julie,  here you go.  will send into the Mail in the morning….Love……

Strong indeed, and it sure does hold it’s own on the wall. Very fine.

maybe the discussion about communication can spin and twist into words and I want to avoid that… but I have thought about this a lot since chewing it over with you… and EVEN IF a quilt communicates what I want it to, each and every viewer will bring their own eyes to it… so it almost doesn’t matter what I intend? I think the question is a blade of precision for me, because I am trying to learn how to ‘tell a story’ — to go beyond making compositions that spring almost wholly from an appreciation of and devotion to the patterns and colors. So… to be continued, I suppose…

well…words are what we Have. and i still don’t know.
and i am also continuing. this is now Wednesday when
i am writing this and there is a whole new cloth that
i am looking at, wondering about. so…i guess it is
    ongoing for me.
with your house or houseish cloths, i think just the choice of that so strong symbol is enough in itself for either
    way.
to tell a story. your writing maybe is for that?….
story. oh, here i go again….
    to be continued. yes.
