i spent a LOT of the early part of the day working on the tail.  Trying to get it right.

and it just got…more…not Right.  it got Heavy.  so much heavier than the body.  and kept noticing this but kept stubbornly trying to make something happen that just wasn't going to.

So…finally, late afternoon, i cut it all off.  Began again.

so…Evening now.  and this is where a days work brought me.  and i look and it's better.  yes.

to decide now…how Literal do i want to be?  do i want it completely filled in?  or just some.  and also,  realizing that it needs to be in keeping with the legs which also will be just stitch…so all of that.

and an update on Goats and clothes on the line.  today, there was more interest…some mouthing

until Wind flapped the sheet and that was that.

yes, i think before the tail was having a contest with those other strips of cloth, and now the new lightness has given it more of a life force, a different strength. the vibrating kind.

I envisioned just that when you wrote that you thought it too heavy. I LOVE the body, perfect little scrap to embody the lizard, truly wonderful.

Yes! It is the orientation of the body and the tail, the outline of the lizard. Yes, just beautiful.

Love this, Grace – speaks volumes, and I so wish I had a sheet to flap and make that, that right now in my life.
Blessings to you and yours, dear one, Goat woman – xoxoxo

now the tail is one with the body, just a part of it that eventually fades away into a point. lovely

good call. love the expression on the goats faces — and how their ears say it all — as they react to wind flapping sheets.

Does this species have a breakaway tail? Your tail removal made me think of that. And a new tail growing back.

love how the body and leaf branch echo each other and yes the tail in stitches is exactly as it should be; interesting shadows in bottom pic
