They HAVE changed.  the Rocks.  this year, so easy to really see.  the action of Wind, the friction of Sand.  the Exposure to Sun.  they are very different.  and it's not just that i hadn't noticed for a while.  i always notice the rocks in this season.  it's that there has been significant change.   and to think that this is something Out of the Ordinary, i think is incorrect.  i think it's how it is when the Elements

work

the Planet.  including Us.  We are not static and permanent as we are in any moment.  we Change.  sometimes it seems that the change is accelerated.  it might be.  or not.  maybe our awareness is more acute?

the rock in the last photograph now can hold water.  i love this.  how…., unseen by me, something…a spider, a lizard, a wasp could come there and drink.

The colors and textures are deeply satisfying. To me, a sign that something is organically ripe!

both stone, I thought the top one was cloth as well until I clicked on it and it came up large, then it reminded me of bacon…and then no 2 looking like a skull, offering water, yes I can almost see the tiny animals sipping

The first stone looks like a dyed cloth – with those quartz intrusions like string – or so I thought it was when I first looked. Love that stone that holds water. I have one of those in my garden, just one hole to hold water for thirsty dragonflies as they hunt the pesky mosquitoes.
I’m laying a stone patio this week and, so, have been handling and appreciating a LOT of stone. I’m glad to be done moving it… that and the 500lbs of sand I moved have pooped me out a bit! And I have been digging around in my neighbor’s stone pit, reveling in the beauty of Earth and Stone.

I thought the first one was cloth….beautiful as both cloth and rock….and that sweet little watering hole…oh oh oh.
I spent yesterday searching out old photos, to find a nest of baby spiders from 2005, and two videos of a mama spider weaving her web..from 2007. I have put them on my blog for you. She was not fast in her weaving, and you only get to see one little part clearly…but, watching her was such a joy.
We HAVE been feeling static here in recent years, and it is not a comfortable feeling. I agree, we are by nature dynamic, so by the Spring we are hoping to take a leap to get things moving again.
I hope this comment takes….our computer is playing up and has eaten the three I’ve tried to leave here the last three days.
Much love to you and the goats…and the sky and the rocks. x

these rocks…i look at them, thinking of a time when they
would have been part of a GREAT whole and then something
happened. maybe many somethings happened and they became
their selves as they are here today…the size of soccer
balls, grapefruits. the rest of their Parts elsewhere.
so many passages this planet Earth has experienced. it’s
amazing that their lines are so straight!??? how could this be?

Oh yes, alive…as with all, if we quietly listen…they tell their stories…with every emotion possible. And that’s why I love cloth…to transmit the heard secrets onto it into a visual expression.

it’s been a long loooooong time. but back in the day,
i was taught to sit. as in SIT. and hold a rock, a stone.
till empty of Self. SIT. and wait.
    as long as it took.
sooner or later, a visual image would occur, to the inner
eye. the eye of the Mind/Heart. and then, a story.
the one who taught me this calls them Vision Stories.
the work you are doing now…it is This.
