how it really is.

how it looks if i "add shadow" with Picasa.

the next altar cloth.  have to work away today, so more words later,  i hope.

i have let this cloth fly in the Wind for weeks.   but today, i went directly to it this Morning.   it truly is a failure in a certain way.  there is hardly anything at all there.   but for some reason it pulls me.  What If stuff feels like there is not much really There?  but What If you still,  no matter,  believe or feel that there IS stuff?   Even if you don't know what.  Even if you know you are only guessing.

so…i want to make something with this Cloth of Nothing Much.  See what happens if i say that is my intention.  and to forwarn:   it is about Spirit.  it is about what i refer to as the GodThing.  it is about all that i don't know, don't expect to know either.  but about what somehow seems to remain in my sense of things.

What is in this cloth is telling me of a seeker; the design that looks like an eye in the center looking at the right. Below it not a circle but an oval, a stretching of possibility. It’s how we become elastic when we ask the questions that come from deep within that rise to the surface and move to accommodate expanding interpretations for nothing is set in stone and we need to have the flexibility to challenge our thoughts, our beliefs and listen to ourselves, to others. To do so for me, is to expand my knowing and so for me, already this cloth, without a single stitch yet from you, has much here…

i’m thinking and rethinking what you say here–that the cloth in some ways is a true failure. and i’m thinking no, this is not actually the case. because–look at what is arising even though, as you say, there is hardly anything there at all. oooooooh yes. lots of something from this “nothing!”

these are GOOD words, GOOD seeing. i love the thought
of becoming Elastic, stretching, going back, stretching…
yes. i have done Nothing. but already, i love it.

but both are true. the failure is True. it is so
    Plain, so Nothing
but also, in the Failure, there lies a potential that
    is quite extraordinary

I like it, and there’s a lot in it. Love the darkened version. I’d try to bring out what’s already there and try to make it visible.
My husband would love your sticks. He does things like that a lot. He would be trying to line up the diamond shaped twigs so that you can see the sunrise through then on the solstice. Probably by waiting for the sunrise that day and moving it to the best spot. Then he would leave them till they crumbled, like prayer flags do.

I see centered movement. . .with nothing unnecessary. whatever you add will arise from there.

does Spirit “need” response from Us to be What It Is?
all the talk of being Co Creators….what if our own
imaginations are a total necessity in the All of It?

It’s the whole dichotomy of spirit and physical, isn’t it? One without the other is less than.

spirit is us. our perceptions and responses. and the choice that sometimes no response is the right thing. tuning into the timing of it all. and letting ourselves be tuned to that timing.

Is this that same sardine can cloth you showed a while back? It feels very potent to me. I want to watch this…

what if you simply stitched this piece ALL OVER
and let the stitches be the message.
    so many words about thoughts,
when the stitches would suffice – no embellishments needed,
just the stitches, hundreds or thousands, each a small still voice
    made visible.

Smile! Yes, our yard is considered strange, but we like it.
I don’t know what spirit is. I lost the concept completely a few years ago, which seems very strange to me. Don’t stop, you’ll have it in that cloth and maybe I’ll remember.

it might tell me more about where i am NOW with this thing
of Spirit. over the years, i have settled many places
about Spirit. all have been Good. but there was always
a sense that it was, yes, these Ways, but also even More
or even it could be said … Less, than any particular
    Way.
so…now, maybe i am interested in finding out where all
this has brought me. all these years. Really, since i
was a very small child it has been Present for me.
and the Cloth allows me to make an image of things. in this instance, it will maybe be an image of the sense
of IT all is????? we’ll see.

    Tracy…, , , hmmm. i had reached a point of wanting to
stop “looking”. for Spirit. just see what happened.
it’s been good. but now, i’m wanting to go somewhere
with it again. as Jan said above…tuning in to the
    timing.
it’s time again to get tuned.
