it might.  i can see it way even beyond the Rim.   maybe.

the Salt Cedar.  considered noxious.  great Effort to eradicate it from New Mexico.   There are Opinions,  because i have let one grow…over by the fence.  this is it's only child in 18 years.  i have let it grow too.  they are said to be invasive.  and it is, true,  but….any minute the Tanangers will come, hang upside down from the thin branches like ornaments.  always,  the Tanangers come, only for this.  and Bees.  the Bees.

i am going to try to make a cloth of them,  on the raft,  under a Sunflower.  We'll see.

Great Wind, again.  again.  again.  today.  and as i went out to gather up some wood for the small morning fire,  i looked and 4 blooms had succumbed.  so…into the India Jar…just to see.  and maybe yes,  maybe it might make Sky cloth.  another maybe.

and just to help the Goats remember,  i went out just now and called them over to the shelters that i built for them,  that they generally totally ignore.  except for when there is moisture from the sky.  so, since it's maybe a storm tonight,  i called them over.  went inside and sat,  they zoomed in and whirled and zoomed back out.  but at least it was a reminder.   i've done my part.

I love that last scene with the goats. It made me laugh. Oh those goaty minds. They will what they will.
the new cloth is already charming, and so glad you have salt pine and can expect tanqngers. Oh to see them will be glorious. It’s an old sort of pink isn’t it…almost rose with a slightly more orange cast.

yes, those Goaty minds. they are Them. period.
the tanangers are a deep orange and black…sharply designed…
beautiful birds but dangling from the Salt Cedar, it’s magical.
    No less.
it’s only for a few days and they travel on to wherever it is
they Go. every year, i wait.

Oh Tamarix, I love that plant! Con, one of the old gardeners at the Botanic Gardens was from Greece and he described how the dry creek beds would turn into rivers of pink in Spring!

oh goats and shelter..my very first goat experience was when i was backpacking through europe with my sister and we were having so much fun…we were in Greece and would jump off of the ferries whenever an island looked promising..and explore….
we were camped on a hillside outside of a little town and a huge storm blew in and we were keeping our tent up by simply sitting inside it holding it up with our heads…and then the goats came..sensing/seeking shelter or just curious..who knows they attempted to join us..pretty much destroying our camp..such as it was and causing a fairly worried and definitely fast departure in the early morning light….
even at the time we could see that it was pretty funny and oh it improved our tent set up skills…thank you for a memory …the salt cedars, the goats..gentle day to you grace
