i used to not think much of Butterflies.  Thought that they were frivolous.  Flitting here and there.  I was into Moths.   Workers of Dark Night, Moths.   This morning, this piece of a pod from the Snake Tree,  all crushed,  probably walked on over and over.   But looked so much like a Moth.

and to Celebrate not having to feel CRAZY anymore,  for this moment, at least,  i bought this.  Partly because i love the olives,  but also partly because i love the MARKETING of the olives…The label….the jar itself and Lid….and i thought maybe i would change Snowbunny's name to Divina and when i was Out There just now,  i told her.  Asked her.  and she thought it was interesting and fine,  but also only responded when i called:  Bun Bun…………   So, it might take some time.

    it is.
and not anything about me making it…but more about
just how the cloth goes…how the cloth says it should be
i move the cloth move the cloth move the cloth till it
    says STOP
    STOP
and this is it. it feels Good.
and i just was Out Side. I layed. Face Down. Face Down
on Earth. More even, than yesterday, when SOME of me
    was in contact with Earth…
Face Down most of me connected. Much of me ….. touched.
i smelled it. this was good.
i need to do this more.

I love that through place, through the flower rays. & the olives, too. I cannot believe I married someone who doesn’t love/like olives, after thirty years I still question him about it.

The giant moths have been coming out here (at least they were before it turned so wet and cool.) I have seen Luna and Polyphemus. They are a wonder. No mouths to feed during their short lives. Hatch and find mate. That is All.

but then, all that egg laying, but maybe that’s relaxing
after all the around the Light business….to just be
still and let the eggs come out….

The earth parts may be thick, but still are sweeping….like an underground river, while the clouds mirror them in the rushing sky.
    I love the peering face.

Oh yes. How could I forget egg laying… The Real primary objective. They are so frantic around the light. Yes, I hope egg laying feels restful and fulfilling. I’ve always felt such wonder about their inability to feed. To only have the strength you are born with. To not be able to replenish.

how WE are, frantic around the light
i imagine the laying of eggs to be a very silent, exquisite
thing. eggs…coming out…like honey from a jar, slow
    and sweet

Apparently quite a lot for moths are like the big Luna moths that Beth mentioned (which I would love to see in real life) don’t even sip be nectar they just procreate and look beautiful and get madly attracted to light!
