oh…thank you, Jan.
i’ve been trying to get something going in my mind about weaving and
i just don’t think it’s going to happen. Am not a weaver and really
weaving is too uhhhh, orderly i guess. But in Jude’s Cloth to
Cloth, we wove and i loved that. Weaving with scraps and i thought
today…what might that look like, after all this time since she
offered that Teaching? And this is it. Certainly not a weaving,
but more of a Thing. But it felt really good to do it.

yeah. I’m still in the ‘considering’ stage. have been cleaning the kitchen here, walls & cupboards. weaving in new energy and light. . .the way I used to like it to be. and there can be neatly woven. . .and loosely woven. your Thing seems to hold itself together by choice or willpower. I really like that. nothing enforced there.

Oh, but it is a weaving! And what caught me, what I love is that even though it is so loosey goosey…it holds together. I think that says something. Even in the fan breeze, it stays. What a statement! We don’t have to be orderly or neat or tightly woven to keep ourselves together. Very refreshing Grace.

woven, especially tightly woven. I am not at all,
tightly woven. THIS is a beautiful thought and helps
me. THANK YOU!!!!

a light touch, in all things, I think is best. the way you are redirecting Tay. . .that is light touch rather than just stopping her. . .very taoist. . . .using little effort to great result.

Grace…the considering of weaving has me seeing “weave” in so many new ways and in places unexpected…in words, in experiences, in nature…just finally opening to a view of so much more than the over and under that the word weave first brought to my mind…considering weave truly expanded my first imaginings…and your small consideration truly is lovely….it is a visual breeze…and brings in so much of the colors of summer storm skies for me…you have woven the energy of wind in this piece of cloth..delights me.

something in the way you arranged the words here gave
even more of an Opening to the concept of weave…not
sure what i “glimpsed” when reading them, but to do
with how EVERYTHING is under and over and exchanging
position … on going. Everything.
am glad you like the little fluttering thing. it was
just scraps on the table…no thought…just doing.

I like that curving at the top. My first impression was of a stonehenge stone for some reason.

lovely how the curve of your weaving magic is reflected in the beads of the necklace pinned to the shelves and there is something of those “living shrines of Uyghur” in this too, the way it moves

i want to go inside these words.
This is the first time in a long time that i want to make
a cloth for Wendy’s kids. they would know this…this
becoming or undoing…
