am finding Words tricky lately.  Finding sometimes i don't have much patience with Words.  They can mean so many things to so many people.    Including of course, my Self.

So i took a day off.   Other than go  visit Alz. B,  i did,   Not Much of anything at all except feed self, feed Goats, feed dogs and cat.  Give Water.

And i did something that i have done, now and then,  which is to take my self Out of my self and appear in my life as an Observer.   I imagine that i am the Observer.  I showed up at the gate,  outside it,  and came in.   The woman who lives here  (me) knew ahead of time that she was supposed to just go about her day.  Knew she was being observed,  but still,  to just go about her day as she ordinarily would.    The Point,  the point is to try to find some objective sense of what's going on here.   Because sometimes,  she   (I)  is  (am) so engrossed,  there is almost some kind of disconnect.   and again,   words are not so much my Friend right now.   so to try to clarify what i might want to mean by ….disconnect….,  well.  it would take too many words.   I don't have the energy or, really,  the interest to try.

So,  i watched her.   How she goes.  How she is so focused on the Place.  The inhabitants of the Place.  She Goes.  going going going.   What does it all Mean?,  all this going?

So am thinking i need more time to Observe.  ok.

the Verdolaga is popping up Everywhere.   A plant person that is said to be a weed plant,  but that has more nutritional value than pretty much anything we might buy in a store.   It's other name is Purselane.  Google it.  Lots there to read and my guess is that pretty much all of us might have this growing all around.  It's FOOD.  Very Good FOOD.

Yum–I used to grow purslane on the windowsill till the landlord said I couldn’t…and I always had some in a pot at the church garden…till that went the way of all flesh…It is easy AND nutritious. A gift of nature. Not fussy. So I watch her (me) too sometimes quite consciously, like now, sitting here typing while staring at the beautiful borage bloom. It’s good to do this, good for me at least. now I’ll watch her (me) sign off for the night.

    I LOVE purslane.
I had two big pots out on the dyedeck that were ringed all ’round with purslane..dark salmon pink, coral, rose red all with yellow centers. I didn’t think to bring them inside for the winter and this year you cannot buy the plants anywhere! I guess I will have buy seeds and grow my own. I think I liked them because they looked like marzipan.

aha postelein in Dutch, spreads like a weed according to wikipedia, well that IS interesting….plants that grow like weeds are exactly what our garden loves, if they don’t manage themselves they leave; I like the taste, so this should be worth the try

Sometimes taking a break is healthy and necessary OR/ just a thought but instead of words on windthread, why not simply for a time, a visual diary: could be one photo, once in a while, could be several; could be drawings: you the observer recording, we taking it in without the backdrop of defining words, letting it become whatever it becomes for each of us. There is so much richness to your place, it speaks for itself…

Borage is beautiful here this year..purslane also abundant ..what is not for food shall be for dye…learning that process a bit with each piece of cloth into the jar…words not always necessary for me..thoughts are seen in visuals.. open space give room for ideas to find roots and set themselves in places to grow, like the purslane and borage…room is necessary…seeing, resting, observing..part of the necessary equation.
