Woke this morning and was going about in kitchen and looked at the compost strainer on the counter and was caught up in the COLOR of the corn husks that had held the Tamale that i ate yesterday.  So just went quick and picked up a piece of Deb Lacativa's damask and stitched them on in a Weave.  How GOOD this was,  how Satisfying.    It's only for the moment,  will be taken apart,  but just to DO it,  to LOOK at it!…,  the Pleasure and Satisfaction in it the Play.

and on Michelle's blog,  Ms.Uncertainty Principles….Mscomfortzone.blogspot.com   a quote from John Blofeld who i have loved for so long……..

"What is needed is to direct one's attention to the present,  thinking,   "This is how things are,  what is to be done about them?"

    Your cloth tamale fills me…
CLOTH can do that, nourish us…
    Feed and encourage our creativity…
Expose us to new ways of seeing the ordinary…
Challenge us to dig down and bring forth the illuminating as well as the whimsical that we all carry inside of us…
Most of all, this cloth tamale wraps around me in delight and joy.
It is a living, organic symbol of this day, of you, and I would never take it down from the wall.

Hey Linda…it’s not really a studio, it’s just the ROOM
that my daughter and i smashed through. Was a porch.
We used a sawsall to cut through the wall of the trailer to make it into a Room. The table in there is supposed to be for eating, but it’s all covered with cloth and thread.
That crow…a plastic crow from my brother’s farm in Minnesota. You get them at the feed stores there. They are to ward off other birds. When i was there…some years ago, it was always lying under the stuff outside so i stole it
when i came home i told him. But it was ok because i Love it More.
