spent it beginning this morning with just simple pleasures.  This fork,  from the Old Cowboy's drawer….front, side, back,  then dog admiring bone handle.   Someone MADE this fork.  Like MADE it.  Spent a lot of time looking and thinking about this.

Middle of day just day dreaming.   Remembering night dreaming,  wandering some the internet for anything of note.  Wandering.  A nap.

and here they are as they have been since spring.    WHERE did the time go?   Jan points out that in ancient chinese tradition there are 5 seasons.  Summer and then late summer and i can see,  in this moment here that this is true.  Not 4 seasons, but 5.    Something Happened to the Spring and Summer….something startling…they got gone!…fast and  just a moment ago, it was spring and here we are at the second summer…..    Breath In  Breath Out.

and Tay,  just when i've been talking about her,  had a really GOOD day.  She was bizzy.  She unearthed so many bone things buried,  would bring them,  all decomposed however that is they get and all muddy and i would wash them off in the outside bucket for her and she would go off to her bizzyness.

here she IS.   She has the amber colored nyla bone that friend Cindy, the nurse at the Old Fo lks Home gave her as a homecoming gift when she first arrived here.  How long has that been????i  really don't know….will need to look back…but it disappeared that day and has been GONE until today when everything is being excavated.

“Today when everything is being excavated”. I love that. I’m waiting to hear what is next. And Grace, are those clouds reflected in the photo of the second vat? It’s beautiful. Thank you Grace.

no dripping plums here..unrelenting rain and another ghostly dawn..no gold at all just silvers and grays and mists over the river rising to meet the rain..not a complaint ..i am racing autumn to get in as many ground holding cover plants under the slippery slope of the new retaining wall as i can…and as always so grateful for the water
but oh ..the golden light..the reflected clouds…imagining the scent of dry warm air…a fifth season ,,how perfect ..

Yes Mo–this IS great…I copy pasted and saved–goodness knows why. I doubt I’ll ever get there but it is just so fascinating to me–especially the little film within and soundtrack takes me there for a minute. PLACE tells the weather! Grace does that too. Maybe we all do that.

Hey Grace–that little basil…why not dig deep and pot it? put it up on the porch where it will get more sun and maybe get big for the rest of this month making all sorts of delicious…adding a few leaves to things, then let it seed and save them to plant in the spring. Hmmmm?
So much to be doing. As usual and how the tempus fugits…oh, it does it does!
