wasn't going to go to Music Thursday today because i wanted the second day here, but oh well, i did because the favorite and best Graduate Student was in town visiting and someone Alz. B loved very much and  it would be a little bit of a Party.   I'm glad i did for a few reasons,  one to see the Graduate Student who now lives in Colorado  and owns a hydroponic weed business,  but then too because the local  program for developmentally differently abled persons came again and brought a wonderful young or old woman, couldn't tell, but she wanted to dance and dance she did and she chose me for a partner for one number and i was stunned by Love,  like some Love Fairy had  banged me on the head with a wand.   And then the third thing is that one of the band members tried out a new tune,  My Walkin Stick,  which was originally Irving Berlin but then today done ala Leon Redbone style  and if you go to UTube and type in My Walkin Stick Leon Redbone, you will hear something like i did today and it was just beyond GREAT,  really,  beyond GREAT.  Who would ever guess…at the Old Folks Home in Socorro, New Mex.

and i am back to these two Sisters and loving them even more today and i am going to sand the handle of the Great leaf rake and oil it with probably linseed oil because that's what i have.   I really know that i want to do that for Her.   I'll take more pics in the coming days.

I love the photo with the goats behind the tools. It’s as if the one on the ground is looking up at the one on the porch saying “did mom say if we could come in now ?” Give goats kisses from me ! Too much 2 legged company lately..need 4 leggeds who know when to go lay down and chew cud.

Yay–nothing like a good dancing session for spirit! Leon Redbone’s been one of those all time favorites with me for decades–here he is in Fairfield Connecticut just two years ago http://youtu.be/D2iq2COptHs
and here’s his site…he still tours and posts the schedule (maybe New Mexico one of these days)– http://www.leonredbone.com/fr_home.cfm
Gorgeous colors in the new cloth beginning.
    Big LOVE

ah. the reverence you show for your tools. as they deserve. and often i find myself thinking of the amazing things that were built w/o electricity…and how that was able to happen. i think time had a different quality then. i think it was slower.

ha, was talking about our perception of time just last evening, how life has sped up these past decades and not just because we’ve grown older; there’s so much more information literally at our fingertips; I wonder whether our minds evolve at the same speed as the technological possibilities we ourselves have invented. Time would seem an illusion (a useful one) one moment and the next time I look at it I think: no, it is actually something for I have aged, which is a sign of the time…..
