the second of the string of Five days.   I am remembering.  Remembering to sit on the porch now and then and just take it all in.  There are many butterflies now.   Many of the Yellows that are in keeping with this season,  but many others too,  multicolored and less numerous,  but standing out in their flight patterns,  which look oh so Care Free and so At Ease and i think of this as i sit on the top step, How this is their Life right now which doesn't have many days left,  yet they Sail so gently.  So free.

Summer has made it's marks,  it's design.

and tho i'd decided NOT to,  i RE decided this morning to go forward with this cloth.  It's GOOD, the story of it and i checked and the "compost" will hold as cloth.  Some stitches and it will hold.

Today the butterflies added themselves to the Dreaming of those Dreamers below the compost.  The story began to sing itself.

LATER:  on impulse.   Got the leash and we WALKED.  Maybe a mile?  Maybe mile and a half?  We walked on the far side of the ditch bank.   The near side, dog dog dog but the far side…no.  No dogs.  For how long?  Don't know but for today,  no dogs.  only cattle.  Tomorrow i'll take the camera.

I love how the tomato captures the color both of the yellow/orange strip and the “compost.” Life imitating art.

the ‘porch scene’ today…watching butterflies flutter by, and also yesterday’s ‘porch scene’…giving the Mansa compliments. Both prime vignettes so visually complete. Glad you’re going on with that cloth too. Looking forward to the pictures of the next ‘walking out’ event with Tay.

yes yes yes. the remembering to “sit and take it all in.” or stand. stand and take it all in. there is an acceleration here. and it’s odd that it also seems to create this same message to stop. to appreciate.

The bottom of the tomato reminds me of the basket bottom mandala….round and round, holding and allowing. I’m glad too that you are going on with the compost cloth. The shapes of the compost piece and the eyelet are just right for each other.

am I right in thinking that the piece of light fabric with what now looks to me a lot like a snail, came from me?

it came to me today how easily she learns routine and i am going
to take it slow. Intermittent for a while, the walking. Otherwise she will quickly acquire the intense WANTING and i’m not ready for
    that yet.

it did. yes, it did. and you know, i thought…how so BEAUTIFUL
but also never imagined Using it other than as a singular thing of
beauty to behold…i am not an eyelet person, not at all, but
there it was, somehow getting from the basket on the shelf to
the table, leaning into the compost cloth…and how perfect for
the dreaming of the grubs. Even if i had been able to Imagine, i
could not have asked for a more perfect piece of cloth to tell
    their story
