i used to refer to Wind as my Lover.   A sign of the time, today i say Friend.

A long story, but today i went over to the Only business in Polvadera to see if the Antiques woman, Lee,   still had that really really great copper pot.   Nope, sold it a while back.  So we talked of other things,  mostly how she thinks she needs more sleep.  So we talked about sleep.  Got back and a phone message.  Come back.  So i did and…….

look at this Big Ole Copper Mama…….sort of on loan.  I really don't know what to think.  i can fill her with an inch above whatever plant material.  Then as the water evaporates,  there will be such a span of possibility for oxidation to occur, which i love.   What to think????  Well, for now, she's here.

and this far.   It's maybe a little hard to see the Grass's seed stem on the left,  but it's the final "component" i think.   Everything's good.  Everything is murmuring.

She’s a beautiful tub, that will hold lots.
Your cloth, I really like that I can’t decide which way to think of it- becoming, composting, it transcends.

She could hold the world. but i am thinking maybe two inches of water at her
bottom? You never know tho, i might decide to dye the World….
The Cloth is a True Story. Not a hope, not an imagination, but a true story and i like this very very much.
I laughed today…think of the “name” of this Cloth…grubs dreaming….
and i laugh now, writing that. But it’s true.

Movement all day long, wind dancing nonstop since early this morning. Two things happen with me when the elements of w ind and sporadic rain align; either I want to take a nap or I want to move about, slow dance, hip thrust now and then; can’t be helped as I am a creature of movement.
And the cloth knows about movement: grasses on each side, curving to the center, swaying in a happy dance because above, La Que Sabe, it is how I think of the eyes, giving blessings for the whole of it but especially for the dance of grubs creating the gift of good soil.
All of this magnified in the fiery copper gleam of that most magnificent trough of a cauldron… I have stomped bare footed in such a pot to crush grapes to make wine and I would do so in this pot, it seems big enough, and I would stomp and hip sway in exultation, especially because I know the alchemy of copper, how it gives the most elusive natural dye color of all and my most favorite color, green and I want to have green feet, dancing atop bushels of red onion skins anointed with vinegar…and maybe the goats would kick up their heels and you grace, would tie some cloths around yourself and dance around me in the copper pot, beating your Scottish drum and that is a vision that I can see so very clearly…

Oh the grass on the left is absolutely perfect … grass as it is … you do have to look carefully to see grasses and they are worth looking for
And I just came from Saskia’s drum-filled post, then read Marti’s post … and I love copper pots … and drums … and wind
