i went to work today in San Antonio.  I've said all this before,  but to say again,  it's up on the mesa.  They have many acres of land.  The house itself they built.  Not many rooms,  but all very Large.  A windmill.   No one is ever home when i go there,  so my relationship with the house itself is intimate.  I see the people maybe once a year.  It's just them,  their dogs, horses, some outside cats.  A garden.  The land.   Mid cleaning,  i sat on their step and just felt it all.   That this is the home they built for themselves to live their lives in.   All around is high desert mesa….sand,  rocks,  creosote, some pine,  some trees they have planted, but not many.  The land is in a natural state.   I don't know what i am thinking about it.  It's just a feltsense right now.

    the cherub with the bell
lots of weeks ago i write this down
from a dutch blog i forgot
    ” THe birds they sang
    at the break of day
    start again
    i heard them say
    don’t dwell on what
    has passed away
or what is yet to be
ring the bells that still can ring
    forget your perfect offering
there is a crack in everything
that’s how the light get in
i just want to share this

Grace – Your posts are so rich and the comments that they elicit (such as the one above) are equally filling … for truly I do feel nourished whenever I come to visit.
And Tay … dear Tay … what a gift

I also love the poem from 2. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Sunflowers evoke such a strong response in me. They are powerful, bold, coarse and spiky. I keep thinking of teeth, yet they are also soft and delicate…and what wonderful colors! Flowers of contrast.

What a gift I have been given to have wandered across your blog! Did not sense how undernourished my soul was until I began to read your postings, ‘see’ your photos and absorb the comments given. Thank you. …and 2… thank you for sharing the poem…
