Julie,  Threadingthe dog.blogspot.com ,  is Wondering.  Why do we blog and What do we blog about? And then there is the question of Disclosure.

IMG_1088f

The Highlight of the day is that it occured to me this morning to use those chains  that are STILL sitting on that bench,  to use those chains to weight down the tarp that i RAN out to cover the truck load of Grass Hay this morning when it began to RAIN.  I'd looked at the little calendar box for today last night and there was a picture of a sun.  But NOT this morning.   Being in such a hurry, having no time to find heavy things…there they were and they work perfectly.  Heavy enough, easy to maneuvre on the bales.

Home from work,  i unloaded the bales,  fed self and

Tay and i brought in fire wood for the morning.

some changes again.  and the ants are Inside on the as yet very slender petals.   one was carrying something.  The light was very odd and this is the best pic i could get.

so this is it for today.  I felt like i should really try to come up with something Else.  But there really wasn't anything Else.  Except the disclosure is that Tay and Chinche are savoring a dead and decomposing grub.  They take turns flinging it arounds and then actually rolling in it..???…..duh,  and the disclosure goes further that Tay's breath is creepy.

So maybe this is a perfect example of a blog post that could Easily NOT have been.   Why do i  post this kind of stuff anyway?  Am asking self.  I could just skip days like this.  Maybe i will.  Thinking.

****************************************

it's 7:04 p.m.  ONLY 7:04 p.m.   but if i stayed awake longer i would need to build a fire and i am trying to conserve wood this year.  So off to bed.  But i was over at MO's house and her oh so FINE and EVOCATIVE post and i came back here to look and double clicked the pic of the Chain.  And somehow this took me back over to Michelle's house and her latest post which i loved so much for an additional time tonight and the back again to this pic of this chain which i see as so so Elegant,  the chain,  and so maybe this might be a way it can go.   Maybe just call them the Double Click Days.  I like this.  The Double Click Days.

So…go double click this pic

what’s in it that’s new, but it’s all dark out there now, like
really dark and they are still at their bowls, and whatever it is is crunchy, i think wild sunflower stalks, i can hear them chewing if i go out and stand quietly. Crunch, Crunch, Crunch.

I think you pretty much blew the disclosure problem out of the water w the last post about Snowbunny’s butthole. And I like these kind of posts, it balances out the more worldly bigger posts just perfectly.

Enlarge the photo of the wet rusty chain and the colors, well, they are dyed cloth colors and the links patterns and the splintered wood, thread fringes and the slashes, shibori type folds so even when you think grace that what you offer in windthread, well why bother, well YES bother because this seemingly simple photo has loads of inspiration.

Also want to add to the important discussion between Julie and grace re blogging: (I will also leave this comment on Julie’s blog.)
I don’t blog and actually I’m not sure why I don’t but I comment on many blogs and often with a lot of revelatory words about myself. I do so because what I receive from reading these blogs, the ideas, the sharing, the photos, the words – deep, provoking, comforting, sometimes hilarious, offer me an exchange…
The photos are informative, filled with the beauty of their place, their art, their travels, they show me with their eyes, through the lens of their cameras what is in their world, what matters to them…
Several bloggers in answering the question that Julie posed, “who do you blog for”, say that they do it for themselves and yes, of course but the fact is that they offer me and those who read their blogs, an amazing gift. The words and photos and the willingness to put themselves forth to share joys, sorrows, triumphs, disasters, simple, eloquent, creative heartfelt words, – it ALL connects with me and because it does, it becomes a conversation that I want to participate in and continue because in this vast world of cyber fluff, what they have offer is REAL.

well, if you have Goats, you really do a LOT of looking at their buttholes and their “twats”. the Twats because if you are going to breed, you need to know when, like within 24 hours, they are going to be ready to breed. Then the buttholes, well, their poops pop out like from a Pez Dispenser…all nice and round and well, all nice and round. If there are sticky clumps on the ground when you feed in the morning you know that something is not quite right and you watch. Looking for more sticky clumps and for WHO might be dropping those sticky clumps. It’s the first sign of Something Wrong. Goat Stuff.
