the Goats were what might be called Serene,  for Goats.  Peaceful.  Content.   Day was Sun Filled,  easy on us.   Tay played and let Chinche play in her own reserved way rather than wanting to nudge her into Action.  I stitched…undid…and began again.

the top of the center light blue cloth…. i had put some stitches a few days ago and suddenly decided i needed to put kantha stitches on all.  I'd started with a not quite totally pale blue,  so i continued with that,  thinking it was a good thing to go against my habitual instinct,  but

it wasn't.

so i undid it all and began again with a pale pale.  this is good.  The kantha should have been done before all the twining of the roots but i didn't know it needed to be here, and so i am going to need to stitch it inbetween them.  I have no idea if that will be ok.  Just need to try.  then Look.  Then, know.

and more on the Blue Roots

I received an email from someone who had come here and was looking back.  She found something she loved

005

the Moth Moon that is on the Magic Diaries Cloth.   She commented that she was unsure about commenting on the blog about something far in the past.  She linked me to the post.  And i sat and looked and realized i have forgotten things that my Beginners Mind instinctively Knew and i looked here LOOOONG.  and there are things i need to Remember.   So this too was part of this gentle day.

Looking back can be so instructive sometimes…funny, I was doing that too, only with photographs of my way past. The surprising thing for me was that I remembered, in a really feeling way, being loved.
Meanwhile, I can’t believe you are adding kantha in between…but glad in a way ’cause I LOVE your kantha stitching. Nice moth moon Grace.

a messy quid pro quo… Yes. Remember. It’s a valuable lesson I learned as a young woman. And I beyond love that moth. It is the nature elements in your cloths I fell head over heels with. The first one I remember seeing was that one calling the crows. love.
