Loving. it was a Loving day

the Day loved me and i loved it back.

Greatest Nurse Cindy didn't want this chair.   I thought i didn't either.  I don't really NEED another chair,  but ….hmmm,  chairs…i love chairs for whatever reason,  and here it is

i think Done.  A sleeve on the back.  but otherwise Done.   Earth Dreaming.  I think so.

I stitched until i realized that my Eyes were weary and so i went Out and raked and loaded and hauled scrap feed to mulch on the garden growing beds.  The warmth of the day,  the lovingness of the day was excellent.  Mulch.  Thick and very Fine Mulch.  All through these cold months.  On.  Into Spring.  Ok

    I’m struck by layers: the layers of your Earth Dreaming cloth; the layers of mulch that we put on our garden beds; the layers of light that stream in on Maria’s cloths as they move about your home, her cloths transformed by her natural dyeing, blessed with her sharing, all of these layers, warming, speaking, holding, protecting, highlighting the day in and day out of a full life…

    loving is the best sort of day. I’m loving the alter and the detail of Maria’s cloths, loving the chair–it’s very chairness. This earth dreaming cloth is so beautifully manifested. So loved.

    Well, I’ll be. I love old wooden chairs and cant help myself when they are put out to die at the curbs around here. We have a loft full. I need to host a revival.
    And the raking and hauling….I just read an incredible quote that the trouble with automation “saving” us from work is that it is work that places us exactly where we are.
    I love this day.

    Grace … there is always so much in your posts … crow looking like he has always been there … Maria’s cloths, showing new details … chair sporting a ribbon … cloth with ripples of Kantha … sun soaking through all …
    And raking … that reminds me, I need to go out and see what 4+ inches of rain hath wrought

    you say it was a loving day and I realise that all your days exude a loving for this small space on earth that you share with the goats and the dogs and the smaller species, insects spiders lizards worms bugs and all, and yet again your cloth is evidence of just that: a deep loving

    hello grace,
    i am so enthralled with Earth Dreaming. it is so lovely to to hold and experience its being.thank you for its creation.
    and have a question, is that Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche on your shrine? i met him at Karme Chöling for Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche Parinirvana cremation ceremony May 26th, 1987. I was in awe and felt very drawn to him spiritually.

    hey, Nancy, i am so glad the Cloth is good with you. I love thinking of
    it at your Place in Utah…how wonder full a place to Dream….i look on
    facebook…don’t say much, as you know FaceBook and i are not such friends.
    It is. yes. it is Rinpoche. What a great thing, that you met him…i
    only know him from the distance, but in my heart his is Strong for me.
    Such a BeautyFULL BEING…maybe i will meet him yet in some way…i think
    it’s possible.
