on 3/7 comments,  lindyjane suggested looking at this.   it came today.  The woman who wrote this was part of the documentary Queen of the Sun that Michele found…a documentary that was available for a while on UTube but no longer is.  Only the trailer.  When Jude still had Placekeeping, she had the entire documentary on her sidebar there.  I hope everyone was able to see it then.

How do these go together.  I don't know.  But they do.  and they also go with the thought the other day of wanting someone to talk with.   Although i don't know all of it,  i know from these three things that are related that it's not SOMEONE to talk with,  but something different than that.  It's

some kind of communication that is possible,  available.  

and when there is a Longing for that,  the first response is a reaction to it…a reaction that is really, a way to distract self from the sense of longing.

    Your three things that hang together are related by you, and so seem very related to me…the scrap of soul, the glowing cloth, the kingdom of bees.

    I’m so glad this cloth makes you happy. After sending it to you, I made one for myself … then wondered what to do with it. As I look at this post, I’m thinking it would be interesting to try superimposing hexagons on the squares … like a honeycomb … golden

    You are welcome! Thanks for this place and for sharing your story. The end of this post really resonates. Sometimes we distract ourselves from the sense of longing. Sometimes we are gifted with glimpses of the communication…through the written words of others, through our time spent with other creatures…through art that we create or the art others share…lots of ways 🙂

    PS I love this quote from “A Field Guide to Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit” about the blue of longing-
    “ We treat desire as a problem to be solved, address what desire is for and focus on that something and how to acquire it rather than on the nature and the sensation of desire, though often it is the distance between us and the object of desire that fills the space in between with the blue of longing. I wonder sometimes whether with a slight adjustment of perspective it could be cherished as a sensation on its own terms, since it is as inherent to the human condition as blue is to distance?     don’t know, here, on this end.
    Today i know though that i can take down the Winter Blanket….so
    the Cloth can hang free, by Herself there on the Door Window…
    Tomorrow, maybe. Probably. Tomorrow.
