Cooler evening.  Sauce for the lasagna,  tomorrow,  his birthday.  and a Pineapple Upside Down cake made from the Duncan Hines mix.  i made him one once from scratch and he said it didn't taste right.  His mother always used a box cake.  OK.  Ok.

How beautiful they are. We had one pop up behind the stockade fence and I convinced Jimmy to let it grow. So many years later, it was fifty feet tall, pushing the fence over and carpeting the cars with the sticky flowers..seedlings were growing in the gutters! I had to hire chainsaw men to take it down. 😦

i miss the mimosa..our neighbors in our old house finally cut theirs…they too towered..and it was so sticky..but oh the sight in the spring..isn’t it funny the way your tongue remembers..one of my friends recreated that (in)famous green bean casserole for her kids ..using the freshest ..organic ..ingredients that they usually wanted (demand) and they appreciated the effort…but wanted the old and true campbell’s soup recipe version…
hope your night went well..take care..of yourself as well as the old cowboy.
    gentle day grace

Happy birthday to the Old Cowboy and a VERY FINE day to you, too. Yes, my mother made the Duncan Hines pineapple upside cake, too. The mimosa is SO beautiful.

that’s the difference in Place. NOTHING much here grows like that.
When people talk about Invasive Species, it’s different in Desert.
It is hanging in there…growing so slowly, remaining itself but
