in the pic above this, my toes are swollen because of being bit by ants in the Old Cowboys driveway.

August, Subterranean Woman: I call her this because in this cloth, she is so in keeping with how I think of August, the gateway to Autumn. Her head aflame with sun rays and heat that still comes this time of the year but underneath, the blue coolness that beckons as the season changes. The more I look at this cloth, I see New Mexico, the heat that comes but also the winds that flow and blow almost every late afternoon, cooling, and as strange as this may sound since the winds can be fierce sounding, to me, they also calm so it is that juxtaposition that is so strongly felt in this cloth.
For the itching of my recent bee sting, I mixed baking soda with lukewarm water into a paste, helps for a little while, maybe it will help with the ant bites.
