i think this is enough.  More would just be more and more is really not needed.

In the time we call August,  the Planet of Earth

sees itself in All that It is.

Like a Dream,  an imprinting Essence that is in constant Re~Creation.  A shared Dream of All beings,  all creatures,  all rocks,  all minerals,  all molecules,  ALL.

This cloth is just a human perception.  Each entity would have their Own,  but All would somehow be the Same.

Don’t know if you were referring to yourself as being out side or the cloth but it is a fine idea for you BOTH to sit out on the stoop and just take the end of this day in.
August winds the garden down; green vibrancy begins to mellow and fade and take on a melancholy look. Tomato leaves turn crinkly and brown, squash shrivels at least those that squash bugs didn’t enjoy; corn tassels also but that is a good sign for it means that corn is ready to pick. We grow a few stalks of ornamental corn, continuing the gift that our landlord gave us when we moved here. Last week we had some fierce winds that knocked down one of our corn stalks so I picked the corn that had fallen and when I removed the husk of the ornamental corn, I found it was beautifully colored indigo and white.
The sunflowers are what really capture my heart in August as many begin to transition, petals becoming raggedy fringes, seed heads forming and bowing down from the weight, dried leaves climbing up the tall stalks. We planted a lot of sunflowers this year in this little backyard, some in the corner of the brick wall overlooking the trail behind our house so that those who walk on it could find them. A volunteer planted itself on the opposite corner and the flower was as big as a dinner plate. Most of my sunflowers this year are smaller autumnal colors but we have a few very large bright yellow flowers, so befitting their name. Along the side of our house, we planted a row of sunflowers so we could see them from out kitchen and living room windows. August has brought many birds to these sunflowers and we are gifted with their chirping and their waltzing from flower to flower.
It is as you say, a “shared dream” in this month of August:; the seasons continuing…through all of the growing and ending cycles.

August here in Wisconsin has brought me a garden that I can’t keep up with. I planted only 4 kale plants and have had it for dinner more often in more ways than I can remember. Planted 4 bean plants and the same amazing growth….4 cucumber plants and again besides eating them everyday day and two large jars of refrigerator pickles I have been able to give more away than my family can eat. It has been my best growing season ever…a harvest large enough to share with neighbors and friends. It seems like such a short time ago that I came home from the farmers market with all my seeds and seedlings. My love affair with perennials this season blessed all my senses. An amazing growing season that I could so easily have taken for granted instead I find myself this evening filled with a bounty of gratitude!

I pkanted sunflowers in the hiles left behind by moles and voles and they (the sunflowers not the varmints) grew all summer until they reached the second story of the house. Flowers appeared out of nowhere this past week up in the sky. August.

I enter here and feel it. Here, well you know this is the “Big Apple’, the Mega Grab, the past disappearing and re-imagined in tall and taller, bigger and better. It’s a dream of wealth, and my wondering, wandering little old self just slips into the slip stream and finds her places and her people. Plenty of plants in gardens here, though not quite wild enough, plenty of glory in the skies, and plenty of all that’s really needed for any one with inner vision in tact.
I LOVE your August and you, and all who visit here.

Your August cloth speaks of the lushness of life sparked by the sun. The whole universe is our Mother and she offers her mysterious beneficence most completely at this time of year. Your cloth captures and holds her gift.

I really like the way you have photographed this cloth. The wall shows the totality better but not the texture and light reflection, the layers. August in my woods is noisy. Cicada song by day, katydid song at night.

I love Her & You and that it’s the letting go of Summer there and the first scent of jasmine and the stirrings of Spring here.

here there are cicada and katydid too. the sounds. crickets. how we understand these sounds and so they are a part of us. I thought of that the other night, that if such intense sound were mechanical, or artificial, i would be up and up set. But, when they are the singing of the Season, they are Received easily, breathed in,
