thighs.

they have a strength to their beingness that  i so much connect to.  Not scampering Things,  but Beings.  Strong and Fierce in their way.  Whiptails.

Things change.  The quality of light is so different,  things are so defined when during the Heat of the Summer,  it is so melded together,  but now,  not so much.  Definition.  Leaf to Leaf.    Stone to stone.  dirt to dirt.

I talked to Grand daughter tonight about all that might happen in the near future,  how maybe even they would move back here.

I talked to the great grand son,  Julian who will be SIX on his birthday,  he,  who has never been a phone person suddenly has become one…he TALKED to me.  I asked him about what he might want for his birthday

and he said

    What a special birthday request and how terrific it would be if he could come and see them. You have shared so many wonderful goat photos with us here, they would be great in an album for Julian. The front cover could be a drawing made by you of Julian petting one of the goats or standing surrounded by them and you with your arm around him…I think of the photo that I so love of my grandchildren standing with you and the goats. Your arms are around them, my granddaughter has such a happy little smile on her face, my grandson looks quite the imp and one of the goats is by his side…

    This lizard comes to life before my eyes. DO you eat this squash? Prepared how?
    Sweet Julian. I thought of him just the other day. hard to believe 6 has already arrived. I so remember the time of his space beneath the tree and the fun I had making him the day/night cloth. My grandson still does not like the phone. Goat photos sound like a fine gift.

    Grace I have been away so I want to start by saying how grateful I am for you and the OCB. He had an AMAZING friend in you and you in him. This journey and the people we meet and loose along the way are the sweet fruits that nourish us. As I write this II think back to the picture of your path…I love that path and you said it all so beautifully.
    I also love how you put it ..strength in your beingness…the lizard…the whitetail….I’m loving it!!

    oh, YES…i DO EAT this squash. Just baked and then with
    butter. The skin is tender and can be eaten.
    OR
    sliced and sauteed in olive oil with a sprinkling of Tamari
    and let be until the OO and Tamari create a carmelization in the
    pan…
    it is Exquisite. I have grown them but so many times with
    squash here, the squash bugs wreck havoc.
    the Day/Night cloth…still in his room along with SpiderMan
    and legos. I love that he broke the no phone spell.
