i saw this morning that it was upside down
it became right.
began stitching down the wrinkles and folds, the complex nature of what it is
Chinche remains. and again, the 108 Hanuman Chalisas
there was SUN for one hour and twelve minutes.

I haven’t said anything but am holding vigil with you…
And I wanted to tell you a story. You see, I know that cloth. Intimately. The one you like better from the unprinted side. The black background with the flowers and leaves. Blackberry leaves and blossoms, some pink flowers. I loved it so much. When I was young, maybe 17, maybe 20-ish I made a halter top from that fabric. It was thin, no facings, most of the edges covered with bias tape binding. It covered my front fairly modestly, tied at the back of the neck and tied at the waist, leaving my back pretty much bare. That young body that could wear such a thing with no shame… That cloth I loved. I used left-over scraps in other little projects along the years and probably still have some packed away somewhere here. But to see it there with you and to know it so very intimately is like seeing an old old friend resurfaced into another life. It gave me such a burst of remembrance and pleasure… For what it is worth I wanted to tell you. And you are in my thoughts with love.

we lost someone in the family over the holidays. fell on christmas day and was in a coma for 9 days. it was sad, but he was old and had a life.
all this talk of death has been so pertinent to my life. i think of it often. i really thought of the breath.. one in breath to where? and then the exhale. never heard that and it resonated with me.
losing someone in your house is hard but it is life. i am with you..

according to the bardo,
the last sense to go is scent.
I found my critters in passing would enjoy it
when i put their favorite scents near their nose,
a plant or a flower or their favorite toy…
there will be a point where the fire swallows water
the body will crave water so a saucer nearby is also good.
it is best when spirits leave slowly
it means the next stage is being well prepared.
hugs to you and every one there
and a few head buts
sighing with the wind
~ may the thread unravel gracefully
as you wander thru time.

so common in that day, probably in every cloth shop
i knew it too.

we’ve started the death watch for mikes brother,
his sister brought him home
so he didn’t have to wait for death alone
just as Tay is there.
we’re states away
but the waiting it is still here
she’s already entered there
just not left here, yet
her body is strong and loved being
it will let go let go let…..
