Is this what color my irises will be? Glorious! I forgot to tell you that they both survived the weak winter in large pots and have big green fans of leaves, a foot tall. No signs of flower stalks yet. I’m going to put them both in a bed up at the mailbox garden with the peonies and other perennials, making them the back border so they will have room to spread.

I echo Mo’s comment of “Wow”, swirls of Iris purple and blues that tantalize…I just got done reading a book on Flamenco dancing and as I delved into your Iris photos, zooming in and zooming out, it all felt like a dance of swirling color and wonder. Wonder also caused a memory from two years ago at our camp out when I became a member of the blue hands club, not from indigo but from taking some of your spent Iris blossoms, dunking them in a cup of warm tap water and getting the most gorgeous blue color that asked to be put on cloth and I did. The cloth still retains the color.
